Solihull, Dickens Heath and Whitnash new-builds have wide stairs but drylined walls that dent under a corner, so we protect edges and carry rather than slide. Black Country blue-brick terraces frequently open straight onto the pavement with no hallway, which means the load order has to be right first time because there is nowhere to stage anything.

The M6 between junctions 6 and 9, the A38 tunnels and the Coventry ring road all seize between 7.30 and 9.30 and again from 4pm, and a cross-city local move that ignores those windows loses two hours to the road. We start at 7am where the property allows it, or hold until 10am and work later.

Completion-day timings compound it: funds often release after lunch, so the load happens in the morning and the unload waits on keys. Where the chain slips entirely we hold the loaded van overnight in secure storage from £120 rather than leaving your belongings on a driveway.
