European moves · UK to the continent
European removals, priced like a sum
We move households from anywhere in the UK to ten European countries on one published formula — crew hours, road miles, the crossing and any overnight the drivers' hours rules force. One crew loads your home and unloads it at the far end. No depot transfer, no groupage warehouse, no price that grows once the lorry is on the ferry.
- One published formula: crew hours, road miles, crossing, overnights
- One crew loads in the UK and unloads at the far end — no depot transfer
- Customs inventory prepared and filed by us, not left to you
- Goods-in-transit and public liability insured across every country we enter

The service
European removals from the UK without the guesswork
A European move is a UK move with three extra variables bolted on: a booked crossing, a night or two of driver rest, and a destination city with its own rules about where a lorry may stand. Most quotes hide all three inside one round number. Ours does not. You pay £65 an hour of crew time plus £1.50 a road mile, plus the crossing at cost-plus (£250 Channel, £300 Irish Sea), plus £100 a night where the run legally needs one — and you see each line before you book.

How it works
Four steps and a price that holds
Tell us both addresses and the home size
UK postcode out, full address in, bedrooms, and the access at each end — lift, stairs, courtyard or narrow street. That is everything the formula needs.
See the sum before you commit
We show the crew hours, the road miles, the crossing and any overnight, each as its own line. Permits, hoists and ZTL passes are quoted with the price, not after it.
We handle the paperwork and the crossing
We prepare the valued inventory, book the tunnel or ferry slot, and arrange the local parking permit through a partner in the destination city.
One crew, door to door
The same team that loads your UK home drives the route and unloads at the far end, reassembles the furniture and takes the empty cartons away where you want them gone.
Why us
Why people move abroad with us and stay in touch afterwards
One crew, door to door
The team that wraps your sofa in the UK is the team that carries it up the stairs abroad. Nothing is transferred to a groupage warehouse, so nothing is lost between two subcontractors.
A formula, not a mood
Crew hours × £65, road miles × £1.50, one crossing, and £100 a night where the law requires a stop. You can recreate our quote on the back of an envelope.
The paperwork is ours
Valued inventory, export declaration and transfer-of-residence claim prepared by us. You supply identity documents and sign; we file.
Access solved before departure
Bay suspensions in the UK, Halteverbot bays in Germany, ZTL passes in Italy, hoists in the Netherlands. Booked in advance and priced on the quote.
Transparent European pricing
European moving prices the sum, not just the total
The formula
£65/hr crew + £1.50/mile + crossing + £100/overnight
The crossing is £250 by Eurotunnel or Channel ferry and £300 across the Irish Sea. One hour loading and one hour unloading are the baseline. Every price below is that sum with real numbers in it.

Extra crew and equipment, quoted on survey
Every price in this silo is the same sum: £65 an hour of crew time, plus £1.50 a road mile door to door, plus one booked crossing (£250 Eurotunnel or Channel ferry, £300 Irish Sea), plus £100 a night where drivers' hours rules force a stop. VAT, fuel, motorway tolls on the trunk route, blankets, straps, goods-in-transit cover and the customs inventory are inside that price. Local permits, ZTL passes, furniture hoists and parking-bay suspensions are quoted with the price before you book, never added after the load is on the lorry.
- Access at the UK end: a suspended bay outside the door costs less than 80 metres of carry, every time.
- Access at the European end: canal houses, ZTL zones and gated urbanisations decide the vehicle, and the vehicle decides the price.
- Volume, not bedroom count — we quote against cubic feet, so a decluttered 3-bed can price like a 2-bed.
- Timing: last week of the month and the fortnight before Christmas are the two peaks on the crossings.
- Paperwork readiness: NIE, NIF, codice fiscale or transfer-of-residence claims delay unloading, not loading.

Questions
European moving questions answered properly
It is a published sum, not an estimate: £65 an hour of crew time plus £1.50 a road mile, plus one crossing (£250 Eurotunnel or Channel ferry, £300 Irish Sea), plus £100 per driver overnight. A 2-bed home to Paris (290 road miles) is £945. The same home to Madrid (1080 miles, two overnights) is £2330.
Both. A part load — a single room, a student move, a few pieces of furniture — is priced on the same formula with two crew hours instead of four, so you are not charged whole-house rates for a quarter of a lorry.
We do. Every European move now needs a valued inventory and an export declaration, and most countries want proof of your new address plus a tax number. We prepare and file the inventory and the declaration; you supply the identity documents and sign.
Yes. Goods-in-transit and public liability cover runs door to door across every country on the route, including the crossing. If your declared value is above the included limit, extended cover is a published add-on rather than a negotiation after a claim.
Belgium, France and the Netherlands are same-day runs. Germany, Switzerland and Italy are two days. Spain, Portugal and Poland are three, because drivers' hours rules cap a day at nine driving hours and we would rather stop than rush the last leg with your furniture on board.
Yes — we run European moves from every region we cover, including Kent, Surrey, the West Midlands and Greater Manchester. The formula does not change; only the road miles do, because the mileage is measured from your door, not from a depot.
