The service
Packing services in the UK room by room
Packing is the part of a move that decides whether anything breaks. We pack room by room, wrap fragiles individually, label every carton by the room it is going to and hand you an inventory at the end — so unpacking is an afternoon, not a fortnight of hunting through unmarked boxes.
Book a full pack and we handle every cupboard, or a part pack and we take only the kitchen, the china and the art. Either way the materials arrive days ahead, the price is fixed before we start, and the crew that packs is the crew that loads the van.

How it works
Three steps and one written figure
Survey and box plan
A photo or video walk-round of each room. You get a written box count, a packer count and a fixed price — before anyone touches a cupboard.
Materials, delivered ahead
Double-wall cartons, paper, bubble wrap, tape, covers and wardrobe boxes on loan arrive two to five days before the pack, at no extra cost.
Pack, label, inventory
Packed room by room, labelled by destination room, and inventoried. Unpacking at the other end is booked as the same crew, not a stranger.
Why us
Why people book our packers and book them again
Insurance-valid packing
Self-packed boxes are the first thing a claim gets rejected on. A professionally packed carton is covered, and we carry the goods-in-transit policy that backs it.
Fragile work is the day job
China on edge in cell-divided cartons, mirrors and art in corner-protected picture boxes, glass wrapped individually in paper then bubble. Not padded with towels.
One fixed figure, in writing
Your quote follows bedrooms and contents, not an hourly clock that runs on. Book-heavy and china-heavy homes are priced honestly up front rather than surprised at the end.
DBS-checked, trained packers
The same vetted crew that packs is the crew that loads. Nothing is subcontracted to a stranger on the morning of the move.

All prices include VAT and all materials — double-wall boxes, packing paper, bubble wrap, tape, mattress and sofa covers, and wardrobe boxes on loan. Quotes follow bedrooms and contents, are confirmed in writing from your photos or a video walk-round, and are never revised on the day. Homes heavy with books, china or artwork are priced honestly up front rather than surprised at the end.
- Books, vinyl and china are the three things that push a box count up by a third — they are counted at survey, not on the day.
- Loft, garage and shed contents are the most commonly forgotten third of a pack. We count them separately so the figure holds.
- Flats with lift bookings or stair carries change the crew size, not the price you were quoted.
- Unpacking booked at the same time as packing is cheaper than booking it after the move.

Box plan
How many boxes a UK home needs about 56–93 boxes
Sized on the national picture — households in England and Wales average 2.76 bedrooms and 77.9% live in houses rather than flats (ONS Census 2021), which is why loft, garage and shed contents make the list. Your own count is confirmed at survey.
- Kitchen11–18
Cell-divided cartons for glass, plates packed on edge, pans in mediums.
- Living room and books14–23
Books in small boxes only — nothing over 20kg on a London staircase.
- Bedrooms and wardrobes12–20
Hanging clothes straight into wardrobe boxes on loan, drawers into larges.
- Bathroom, hallway and study6–10
Liquids bagged and boxed separately, cables and tech in one labelled carton.
- Fragiles — china, glass, art, mirrors5–9
Wrapped individually in paper, then bubble, then boxed with corner protection.
- Loft, garage and shed8–13
Usually a third of the total again, and the part most quotes forget to count.

About the service
What a professional pack actually involves start to finish
A pack starts days before the move. Materials land at the property first, so nothing is being sourced on the morning. On the day the crew works room by room rather than jumping around the house — kitchen first because it takes longest, bedrooms and wardrobes last because you need them until the night before.
Glass and china go into cell-divided cartons and travel on edge, not stacked flat. Books go into small boxes only, because nothing over about 20kg should be carried down a staircase. Art and mirrors are corner-protected in picture boxes. Liquids are bagged before they are boxed. Every carton is labelled with the room it is going to at the new address, not the room it came from — which is the single thing that makes unpacking fast.
At the other end, unpacking is the same crew on the same job sheet: boxes are emptied into place, furniture rebuilt, and all packaging taken away and recycled rather than left in your hallway.

Questions
Packing services answered
Yes. Double-walled boxes, packing paper, bubble wrap, tape, mattress and sofa covers, and wardrobe boxes on loan are all included and delivered two to five days ahead, so there's nothing to buy separately.
A 1-bed home is typically 3 to 4 hours with two packers, a 2-bed 5 to 6 hours, and a 3-bed a full day. Larger homes get a third packer so it still finishes in one day.
Yes. A part pack covering only glassware, china, artwork and electronics is common — you handle the non-breakables yourself and keep the cost down without risking the things that actually break.
Yes. Bed frames, wardrobes and flat-pack furniture are dismantled at collection and rebuilt at the destination as standard, with fixings bagged and labelled per item.
Yes. Every job is covered by goods-in-transit and public liability insurance, with higher limits available on request. Professionally packed cartons also keep a claim valid — self-packed boxes usually don't.
Often yes. We usually need 48 hours to get materials to you, but call and we'll check crew and van availability in your area.
We handle it. We apply for parking suspensions where councils require them, and crews bring long carry-runs and trolleys for tight streets and stair-only blocks.
In the rare event of damage, we handle the claim directly through our insurance, with no forms for you to fill in — and our 24-hour redo guarantee covers anything packed badly.

3.9 ★ from 1,420 Google reviewsWe had a team of two come round to complete an end of tenancy clean. They did a fantastic and thorough job, working around furnitures and the last few boxes and suitcases we had in the flat and being very considerate while I worked from home during the clean. Would definitely recommend the service!
