The part of moving nobody finishes on time
Boxes done properly — or done at all
Packing is the job people start three weeks early and still finish at midnight. A professional pack compresses it into one working day: two or three packers, a room at a time, fragiles wrapped in tissue before bubble, cartons filled to the lid so nothing shifts, and a number written on every box against a room on the inventory.
It also protects the claim. Self-packed cartons are insured for the box, not the contents nobody watched go in. Anything we pack is covered under our goods-in-transit policy — which is why a fragile-only pack of the kitchen, glassware and artwork is the option most Greater Manchester movers book, even when they box the rest themselves.
Greater Manchester makes access part of the puzzle. Ancoats and Castlefield mill flats have one lift and a loading bay you have to book; Didsbury and Chorlton have Victorian terraces with narrow returns and no driveway; Bolton and Bury semis usually have a drive but a steep staircase. Packing plans around all three — carton sizes chosen so a full box still fits down the stairs it has to leave by.
Packing usually rides alongside a move. House removals in Greater Manchester, man with a van and office removals can all be quoted on the same job sheet.

Why hand it over
Four reasons a packed house moves better
Insurance-standard wrapping
China, glass, mirrors and artwork are wrapped to the standard our goods-in-transit cover requires — so a claim is never argued over packing method.
Packed by the crew who carry it
The people who wrapped your kitchen are the ones lifting it into the van. Nobody is guessing what is inside a box.
Room-coded, floor-numbered
Every carton is labelled by room and the floor it lands on, so unpacking is not a treasure hunt across three storeys.
One day, not one weekend
A three-bed pack that takes a family two evenings a week takes our packers a single day.

Greater Manchester packing FAQs
How much do professional packing services cost in Greater Manchester?
Materials-only starts at £65, a fragile-only pack at £180, a full two-bed pack at £265 and a full three-bed pack at £345. Pack-and-unpack starts at £520. Every price is confirmed after a quick room count and then held.
Link to this answerHow long does packing a house take?
A fragile-only pack is half a day. A two-bed full pack is roughly four to five hours for two packers; a three-bed is a full day for two or three. We pack the day before the move so loading starts on time.
Link to this answerDo I have to buy boxes separately?
No. Cartons, tape, tissue, bubble wrap, wardrobe boxes and picture cases are included in fragile, full and unpack services. Anything unused is collected free after the move.
Link to this answerCan you pack on the same day as the move?
For a studio or one-bed, yes. From two bedrooms upwards we pack the day before, otherwise the van sits waiting and the move runs into the evening.
Link to this answerIs my china and glassware insured while you pack it?
Yes. Items we pack are covered by our goods-in-transit insurance. Self-packed boxes are covered for the carton, not the unseen contents — which is exactly why fragile-only packs are our most booked option.
Link to this answerWill you unpack as well?
Yes. Our unpacking service places crockery, glassware and clothing into cupboards and wardrobes at the new address, flattens the cartons and takes every box and wrap away the same day.
Link to this answerWhich parts of Greater Manchester do you cover?
All ten boroughs and 135 named areas — Manchester, Salford, Trafford, Stockport, Tameside, Oldham, Rochdale, Bury, Bolton and Wigan. Packers are routed from bases inside the county, so there is no out-of-area travel charge.
Link to this answerCan you pack an office or a studio?
Yes. Crates, IT bags and screen sleeves replace cartons for commercial jobs, and packing runs in the evening so trading hours are protected. That is quoted through our office removals service.
