Door-to-door UK relocations out of every Greater Manchester district, priced from a rate card you can check yourself: £45 an hour for one man and a van, £65 an hour for two movers and a van, £1.50 per mile travelled, with 1.5 hours of loading and unloading already included.

Long distance · Greater Manchester

Long distance removals
Most long distance quotes are a single number with no working behind it. Ours is arithmetic you can repeat: the driving hours for the route, plus 1.5 hours of loading and unloading, multiplied by £45/hr (one man and a van) or £65/hr (two movers and a van), plus £1.50 for every mile travelled.
Everything leaves Greater Manchester on one dedicated van with one crew — the people who wrap your wardrobe in Prestwich are the people who carry it into the new hallway in Bristol. Nothing is trans-shipped through a depot, which is where long-distance damage usually happens.

Published rate card
£45/hour
Driver-porter with a Luton or long-wheelbase van. Best for studios, single rooms and part-loads from a ground or first floor.
£65/hour
Two-person crew loading together. Halves the handling time and the right call for a two-bed and up, or any upper floor without a lift.
£1.5/mile
Charged one way on the travelled distance and covers fuel, motorway tolls, crossings and vehicle running costs.
Every estimate on this page already includes 1.5 hours of loading and unloading. Extra time runs in 15-minute blocks at the same hourly rate — never rounded up to the hour.
No hidden maths
Step 1
Road miles divided by a 52 mph blended average — motorway plus the urban miles at each end.
Step 2
The standard loading and unloading allowance, added to the driving time before the hourly rate is applied.
Step 3
£45/hr for one man and a van, £65/hr for two movers and a van.
Step 4
Travel cost covering fuel, tolls and vehicle wear on the run out.
The formula: (road miles ÷ 52 mph + 1.5 hrs) × your hourly rate + (road miles × £1.5). A 200-mile run is therefore about 5.4 billable hours plus £300 of travel — roughly £545 with one man and a van, or £655 with two movers.
Sample routes, real distances
Estimated from the door in Manchester to the door at the other end, using measured road distance and a 52 mph blended average. Loading and unloading time (1.5 hrs) and mileage at £1.5 are already inside every figure.

Estimates, not invoices — send an inventory and the access details at both ends and we turn the number into a fixed door-to-door price we hold. Not on the list? Tell us where you are going and we will price it the same way.
Move day, start to finish
Stage 1
A video or on-site survey confirms the inventory, the access and the crew size. The estimate becomes a fixed door-to-door price.
Stage 2
Crew arrives inside a one-hour window, protects floors and doorframes, dismantles beds and flat-pack and loads to a plan.
Stage 3
The same van and crew drive the route. Anything over roughly 150 miles runs as a two-day schedule with a secure overnight hold.
Stage 4
You get a live arrival window on the morning of delivery, so you are not waiting in an empty house all day.
Stage 5
Boxes go to the right rooms, beds and furniture are rebuilt and packing debris leaves with the van.
What the fixed price covers
Send the property size, access notes and dates. Photos of anything awkward in Greater Manchester — stairs, narrow entries, permit bays — sharpen the price straight away.
You get a written figure for your long distance move, itemised, normally within a few hours. No survey fee, and no surcharge for travelling to Greater Manchester.

Work runs to the written spec, and the job isn't closed until it has been checked against it. If something on the list was missed, we return and put it right free.
A door-to-door UK relocation is only worth booking if the crew turns up, prices honestly and finishes the spec. These are the commitments we hold ourselves to in Greater Manchester.

Everyone we send into a Greater Manchester property is ID-checked, DBS-screened and works under our own supervision — no unvetted subcontracting.
Every job in Greater Manchester is insured to £5m public liability, with goods-in-transit cover on anything we lift, load or take away.
You get the a door-to-door UK relocation price in writing before we start. Access, stair turns and parking are priced in up front, not added afterwards.
