Moving from London to Surrey the shortest run we price
Surrey is the shortest corridor on this site — sixteen road miles to Epsom, forty-two to Farnham. At that range the drive is a rounding error and your price is almost entirely about how long the carry takes at each end.
- Fixed door-to-door price from one published formula
- Goods-in-transit and public liability insured
- DBS-checked crews, no subcontracted strangers
- One crew loads and unloads — no depot transfer

The route
London to Surrey Ultra short-haul, access-led pricing
Surrey sits 16 to 42 road miles from central London. The driving leg costs £24 to £63, so access decides your price, not distance. Same formula as everywhere else: £65 an hour of crew, £1.50 a road mile.

How it works
Three steps and a price that holds
Tell us the two addresses and the bedrooms
A London postcode, a Surrey postcode, and the size of the home. The formula prices it immediately.
We price the carry, not just the drive
Floor, lift, and how close the van can get. On a Surrey job this is where nearly all the variance lives.
Loaded by eight, unloaded by lunch
One crew, one price, and an afternoon left for reassembling beds and wardrobes properly.
Why us
Why this corridor runs differently ultra short-haul, access-led pricing
Surrey is the one destination county where mileage barely registers. Epsom at 16 miles adds £24 of road cost; Farnham, the furthest town we list, adds £63. Against a 2-bed baseline of £260 in crew time, the drive is between nine and twenty-four per cent of the bill. Everything that actually moves a Surrey price sits at the two doors: lift or stairs, how far the van can park from them, and whether anything needs dismantling to clear a landing.
That has a practical consequence worth knowing. Because the van is only an hour away, Surrey is the county where a two-trip day genuinely works out cheaper than upsizing the vehicle. On a large 3-bed with a difficult London staircase we will often quote a Luton doing two runs rather than a 7.5-tonne lorry that cannot get down a Weybridge private road — same formula, fewer wasted crew hours, and no risk of a lorry that has to unload two hundred metres from your front door.
Access, priced honestly
On a sixteen-mile move the carry is the job. We ask about floors, lifts and parking distance first, because that is what actually changes your number.
Two trips beat the wrong lorry
Where a private road or a gravel drive rules out a 7.5-tonne, we run a Luton twice. It usually costs less and it never strands your load at the end of the street.
Morning slots that still finish early
A Surrey run loaded at eight is unloaded before lunch. That leaves the afternoon for reassembly, which is when most of the awkward items actually get resolved.
We know the private estates
St George's Hill, Wentworth and the Esher private roads have their own gate rules and vehicle limits. We arrange access before the day, not at the barrier.
Access notes we plan around in Surrey
- Private estates (St George's Hill, Wentworth): gate registration and vehicle weight limits apply.
- Guildford town centre: pedestrianised and cobbled streets restrict how close a lorry can park.
- Weybridge and Esher: gravel and unmade drives — a loaded 7.5-tonne will sink, so we send Lutons.
- Woking apartment blocks: goods-lift slots are booked with the building manager in advance.
Transparent mileage pricing
London to Surrey guide prices the sum, not just the total
The formula
£65/hour crew time + £1.50/road mile
One hour loading and one hour unloading are included as the baseline for a 1-bed, and crew hours scale with bedrooms from there. Every guide price below is that sum with the town's verified road mileage in it.

About the destination
About Surrey in brief
Surrey wraps the south-west edge of London so closely that several of its towns are inside the M25 and on the Tube-adjacent commuter map. Around 1.2 million people live between the Thames at Staines and the Hampshire border at Farnham, across Guildford, Woking, Epsom and the Surrey Hills. It is the county Londoners move to for space without losing a commute, and the reason our Surrey diary fills with family upsizes rather than one-way relocations.

Questions
London to Surrey answered
A 2-bed home to Guildford (32 road miles) is £310 on the published formula: four crew hours at £65 plus thirty-two miles at £1.50. Epsom, at 16 miles, is £285. VAT, fuel, blankets, straps and transit insurance are inside those figures.
Because mileage is the small half of the sum. Crew hours dominate at this range: a 2-bed bills £260 of crew time whether it travels sixteen miles or forty. The distance saving on Surrey is real but modest — usually £20 to £50 against a Kent equivalent.
Sometimes, and we check before the day. Estates like St George's Hill and the Esher private roads have vehicle weight limits and gate procedures. Where a lorry is not viable we run a Luton van twice, which is priced by the same formula.
We deliver anywhere in Surrey — every town and village, priced by the same formula. The twelve towns above are just the routes we run most often.
Only if the property is very large or access is exceptional. Every town on this page is a same-day run, and most finish before mid-afternoon.
Two to four days is normally enough, and we can sometimes fill a next-day cancellation because a short Surrey run fits around a longer booked job.
Yes. Beds, wardrobes and desks are £25 an item for dismantle and reassemble. On a short Surrey run there is usually time to do this properly the same afternoon.
Where a bay suspension is needed we arrange it with the borough — most require about five working days' notice. The fee is quoted with your price rather than added afterwards.
