Overview
Service availability
Appliance Cleaning is available in 62 West Midlands towns
We cover the B, CV, DY, WV, WS, WR postcode areas daily and the wider ST, TF, SY, HR districts on scheduled runs. Same-week slots are usual, next-day is common outside peak weekends, and every job is confirmed in writing with a fixed price before a crew is booked.
Appliance Cleaning across the West Midlands
Cleaning an oven properly means taking it apart. Door glass separated so the film of baked grease between the panes actually comes off, shelves, runners, trays and the fan cover removed and dipped, the shell hand-scraped and degreased, then everything rebuilt, seals checked and the appliance function-tested before we leave.
We use non-caustic, fume-free products, so there is no acrid smell in the kitchen, no need to leave the house, and no risk to children or pets afterwards. It also means we can clean safely in flats and small kitchens where a caustic gel would make the room unusable for hours.
The extractor is the part that gets skipped everywhere and matters most. Mesh filters loaded with grease halve the hood's airflow, throw grease onto the ceiling above the hob and, in the region's tightly sealed new-builds around Solihull and Longbridge, push cooking moisture back into the kitchen. Filters get degreased, housings cleaned and carbon cartridges assessed on every appliance visit.
We also clean fridges and freezers including door seals and drain channels, dishwashers including the filter, spray arms and door lip, and washing machines including the detergent drawer, door seal and pump filter — the four places smells actually come from.

Local knowledge that changes the job
Soft water changes the appliance job
On the Elan Valley supply serving most of Birmingham, Sandwell and Dudley there is very little limescale, so kettles, dishwashers and washing machines here fail for a different reason: detergent overdosing. Soft water needs roughly half the dose, and the excess builds as a slimy biofilm in drawers, seals and drum crevices.
In Coventry, Rugby, Kenilworth and eastern Warwickshire the water is harder, so the same appliances scale up instead — spray arms block, heating elements fur, and glassware comes out cloudy. We descale on those visits and de-slime on the soft-water ones, which is a genuinely different service on identical machines.
Student lets and HMO kitchens
Kitchens in Selly Oak, Bournbrook, Stoke and Foleshill run several households through one oven, and by check-out the grease load is closer to a commercial kitchen than a family home. Those need a longer soak and, occasionally, two dips of the shelves.
Because tenancy check-outs in those postcodes commonly specify the oven explicitly, we invoice appliance cleaning as a separate dated line so it stands up on its own in a deposit dispute rather than being buried inside a general cleaning charge.
New-build kitchens and integrated appliances
Solihull, Dickens Heath, Whitnash and Longbridge new-builds are full of integrated ovens, extractors ducted into ceiling voids and induction hobs set flush into engineered stone. Pulling an integrated oven out is a two-person job and the housing has to be protected first.
Those homes are also airtight, so a clogged extractor filter has nowhere to vent — it is the main reason a two-year-old kitchen smells of last night's cooking. We degrease the filter and check the duct terminal as a matter of course on new-build visits.
Period kitchens and older gas cookers
Terraces in Moseley, Bearwood, Small Heath and the Black Country still hold a lot of freestanding gas cookers with enamel tops, cast-iron pan supports and worn seals. Enamel does not tolerate aggressive abrasives and worn door seals fail heat retention regardless of how clean the oven looks.
So we soak rather than scour, and we report seal, hinge and element condition honestly. Telling you an oven needs a £20 seal is more useful than making a failing appliance shine for a fortnight.

Very satisfactory and easy to organise
“Booking was straightforward and courteous. I wasn’t there for the clean itself (it’s an empty flat I’m selling after a death) but using the lockbox as they were instructed seems to have gone smoothly. They sent me photos afterwards which looked great, the clean seems to have been thorough enough. The estate agents report that it’s made all the difference.”

Appliance Cleaning in the West Midlands — FAQs
Q1.How much does oven cleaning cost?
From £65 for a single oven, £95 for a double and £135 for a range cooker. Hob and extractor added to an oven booking is £55, or £70 booked on its own. Fridge freezers are from £60 and washing machines or dishwashers from £45.
Q2.Do you use caustic chemicals?
No. We use non-caustic, fume-free products, so there is no harsh smell, you do not need to leave the house, and the kitchen is safe for children and pets straight after we finish.
Q3.Do you clean between the oven door glass?
Yes, on every oven. The panes are separated so the baked-on film between them is actually removed and then reassembled correctly. An oven cleaned without splitting the door is only half done.
Q4.How long does an oven clean take?
About 90 minutes to two hours for a single oven, longer for doubles and ranges. Everything removable is dipped while the shell is hand-cleaned, so the two run in parallel.
Q5.Can you clean an integrated oven?
Yes. Integrated units are drawn out with the housing protected, cleaned and refitted. Let us know at booking because it is a two-person task and affects the appointment length.
Q6.Why does my extractor still smell after cleaning?
Usually a spent carbon cartridge or a blocked duct terminal rather than the filter. We degrease the mesh, clean the housing and impeller, and tell you if the cartridge needs replacing — that part is consumable and cleaning it achieves nothing.
Q7.Will you clean my washing machine and dishwasher too?
Yes, from £45 each. We clear the pump filter, drawer housing, spray arms, door seal folds and run a maintenance cycle, which resolves the great majority of musty-drum and cloudy-glass complaints.
Q8.Is this suitable for an end of tenancy?
Yes, and it is included as standard in our end of tenancy clean. As a standalone booking we invoice it as a separate dated line, which is what clerks and agents want to see in a deposit dispute.
