Home Removals across Essex
An Essex house removal usually has one defining constraint that decides crew size and timing: a walk-up flat with no lift in Southend or Harlow, a rural single-track lane near Maldon or Saffron Walden, or a permit-only terrace street in Chelmsford's Moulsham.

Why Essex customers book us
Surveyed before a fixed price is given
A quote is built from what's actually in the property and how it's accessed, not a generic per-bedroom guess.
Crew size matched to the address
Three storeys with no lift, a long rural approach or a permit street each change the crew and van we send — decided before moving day, not on it.
Dismantle and reassemble included
Beds, wardrobes and standard flat-pack furniture are taken apart and rebuilt at the new address as part of the job.
Insured, named crew
Goods-in-transit and public liability cover on every job, with a crew you can identify rather than an anonymous subcontractor.

One number for the whole job and a schedule that reflects the actual access, not an optimistic one.
- 3
Load, transit and placement
The crew loads to a plan, drives, and places furniture in the rooms you've named at the new home.

Really pleased with our house move. The guys came on time, loaded everything carefully like a huge jigsaw! Nothing got broken and even though they were working on an hourly rate they were really efficient, not to waste any time. Our only criticism is that we needed a few items disassembled to get on the… Read in full →
My movers were great! So fast and organised. Both of them were lovely so if I need to move again, I will definitely use the same guys. At one point my husband and I were nervous about all our stuff fitting in a Luton van, but Abdulla managed it all as well as keeping us… Read in full →

Home Removals in Essex
Essex removals split cleanly along the county's geography. The seafront terraces of Southend and Clacton are mostly subdivided Edwardian and interwar houses with narrow, sometimes shared staircases and no lift, so a three-bed clearance there needs a bigger crew allowance than the same size job in a Chelmsford new-build with a lift. The new towns — Basildon, Harlow, Wickford — add their own version of the same problem: pedestrian-fronted courts where the van has to stop 20–40 metres from the door, which changes the time on site more than it changes the inventory.
At the western and southern edges the county borders London directly, and that changes the paperwork rather than the packing. Grays and the rest of Thurrock sit on the Dartford Crossing approach, so a job that crosses the river picks up a crossing charge we pass on at cost. Loughton, Chigwell and Epping, by contrast, are in Epping Forest district — outside Greater London and outside the ULEZ — so a move that stays within those towns carries no daily charge at all; it's only once a job continues over the boundary into a London borough that a compliant van needs to be allocated.

Home Removals in Essex — your questions.
Is the price fixed or does it depend on how long the move takes?
Fixed, agreed after a survey of the property and access — it doesn't change if the job runs a little longer than expected on the day.
Do you take furniture apart and put it back together?
Yes, beds, wardrobes and standard flat-pack are dismantled and reassembled as part of the removal.
Does moving in or out of Thurrock cost extra?
Only the Dartford Crossing charge itself, passed on at cost if the job actually crosses the river — nothing else changes.
Is Loughton or Epping inside the ULEZ?
No — Epping Forest district, including Loughton, Chigwell and Epping, sits outside Greater London and outside the ULEZ; the charge only applies if a job continues into a London borough.
Can you move a flat with no lift?
Yes — tell us the floor and any lift situation at booking so we send the right crew size rather than adjusting on the day.
How far ahead should I book in Essex?
Weekends and the last few days of the month book up first, especially around Chelmsford and the commuter towns, so two to three weeks' notice is safest.
