Garden clearance London

Garden clearance in London cut back, carried out, composted.

Overgrown rear gardens, courtyards, balconies and side returns cleared across Greater London by a registered waste carrier. Green waste is bagged and routed to a composting facility, decking, fencing and slabs are priced as their own stream, and everything is carried out through the house where there is no rear access.

London pricing

London garden clearance priced by load and by stream.

Green waste is light and bulky, hard landscaping is heavy and compact, and the two are charged at different rates. A mixed load is priced on the heavier stream rather than averaged, so the figure you are quoted is the figure the transfer station will support.
London garden clearance prices by load size
JobLondon fromTypical timeWhy the London price differs
Small courtyard or balcony tidy£1201–2 hrsA quarter load of green waste, usually hand-carried through the house because there is no side return.
Half-load green waste£2102–3 hrsPrunings, turf and pots taken to a composting site rather than a general transfer station.
Full Luton load£3903–5 hrsAn overgrown rear garden cut back and cleared, including the bags stacked by the back door since spring.
Greenhouse dismantle and remove£1802 hrsGlazing is wrapped and separated by hand because it cannot travel with green waste.
Decking, fencing or slabs removed£3204 hrs+Treated timber and concrete are charged at their own gate rates, so they are quoted as a separate line.
Garden clearance with shed removal£420Half dayOne crew and one transfer note where the shed goes with the overgrowth in a single visit.

Domestic prices are the total you pay. Commercial and landlord invoices are quoted plus VAT at 20%. ULEZ, the Congestion Charge where it applies, permits and bay suspensions are itemised in the written quote, never added afterwards.

Working in London

London gardens clear differently.

Small plots, no vehicle access and a lot of hard landscaping. What decides the price is the route to the van, not the size of the lawn.

Everything comes through the hallway

Terraced housing across Lewisham, Leyton, Streatham and Acton rarely has a side gate, so bags, prunings and slabs are carried through the house.

That carry is in the price. Hall and stair runners go down first, and the route is swept before the crew leaves.

Green waste has its own route

Prunings, turf, leaves and soil go to a composting facility, which costs less per yard than mixed waste — but only if the load has not been contaminated with plastic pots, bags and old furniture.

We split at source in the garden, which is why a clean green load is cheaper here than a skip filled with everything at once.

Council green sacks stop at a point

Most boroughs run a subscription garden-waste sack or bin service, and for regular seasonal prunings that is genuinely the cheapest option.

It stops working on a garden that has not been touched in two years, on slabs, decking and fence panels, and on anything that has to be gone before a viewing or a tenancy check-out this week.

Knotweed and TPOs need checking first

Japanese knotweed cannot be moved as ordinary green waste and needs a permitted disposal route; spreading it is an offence.

Mature trees in conservation areas are frequently covered by a TPO, and cutting one without consent is a prosecutable offence — so we clear ground and shrubs and leave the tree work to a ticketed surgeon with the consent in hand.

How it works

Three steps and a written price.

Booking garden clearance in london takes three steps — you get a fixed written figure before anyone is sent, and the price on the page is the price on the invoice.
  1. 1

Tell us the postcode and the job

Send photographs or a short video with your London postcode. It takes a couple of minutes and there is nothing to pay to ask.

  2. 2

    Get a fixed written price

We come back with one figure for garden clearance in london — ULEZ, the Congestion Charge and disposal or materials already inside it, with any council permit shown at cost.

  3. 3

Book the slot that suits you

Pick a morning or afternoon window, including evenings and weekends. You get a named team, a text before arrival and paperwork on completion.

London questions

London garden clearance questions.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions.

  • How much is garden clearance in London?

A small courtyard or balcony tidy starts at £120, a half load of green waste £210 and a full Luton load £390. A greenhouse dismantle is from £180 and decking, fencing or slab removal from £320.

  • Do you carry waste through the house?

Yes, and it is included. Most London terraces have no side gate, so bags and panels come through the hallway with floor protection down and the route swept afterwards.

  • Is it cheaper than the council garden waste service?

For a few sacks of seasonal prunings the borough subscription is cheaper and we will say so. For an overgrown garden, hard landscaping or anything on a deadline, a booked collection is faster and takes what the sacks will not.

  • Do you do tree work?

No. Felling and reduction need a chainsaw-ticketed surgeon and a TPO or conservation-area check first. We clear ground, shrubs, brambles, prunings and everything a surgeon leaves behind.

  • What happens to the green waste?

Clean green waste goes to a composting facility. That is cheaper per yard than mixed waste, which is why we separate it in the garden rather than tipping everything into one load.

  • Can you clear a garden for a tenancy check-out?

Yes, and we work to the inspection date. We photograph the finished garden and issue the waste transfer note the same day so the agent has the evidence immediately.
