Domestic prices are the total you pay; landlord and agent invoices are plus VAT. Green waste is separated and composted where the load allows, and mixed loads are priced on the heavier stream rather than averaged.
Working in Hillingdon
Hillingdon is built from interwar semis with driveways, 1930s ruislip estates, and airport-worker flats around hayes and west drayton, and the mix changes street by street — Cowley and Hillingdon Heath (UB8), Hayes (UB3) and Heathrow and Harmondsworth (TW6) each behave differently on the day.
On the ground, the easiest van access in london — wide roads and driveways, with restrictions only at uxbridge town centre and airport perimeter roads. Locally that means wide roads and driveways; canal bridges restrict the largest vehicles and new blocks need booked lifts and bays; older streets have driveways and canal bridges. Hillingdon sits outside the Congestion Charge zone, so only ULEZ applies to the van and the quote is that much simpler.
London Borough of Hillingdon runs bulky-waste collections and reuse and recycling centres, and they are a genuine option in Hillingdon for one or two items. Where they stop being useful is size limits, same-week deadlines and anything lifted out of a communal area — those are the loads we take, under our waste carrier licence and with a transfer note issued on the day.
