Outdoor furniture assembly London

Outdoor furniture assembly in London built where it will live.

Garden dining sets, rattan corner sofas, BBQs, parasols, loungers and shed bases assembled across Greater London — outdoors, on the surface they will sit on, so a built dining set never has to be carried back through a doorway that it will not fit through.

London pricing

London garden furniture assembly prices.

Priced per item, with access considered up front. Carrying flat-packed garden furniture through a third-floor flat to a terrace is a different job from a side return, and both are priced honestly.
London outdoor furniture assembly prices by item and access
JobLondon fromTypical timeWhy the London price differs
Bistro set or two chairs and a table£5530–60 minQuick build, set and bolted with the frame standing on the surface it will live on.
Six to eight seat dining set£1101.5–2.5 hrsEvery chair is a separate build and the table is levelled on paving that falls for drainage.
Rattan corner sofa set£1402–3 hrsModules clipped and bolted, then squared so the cushions sit flush.
Gas BBQ or outdoor kitchen unit£1201.5–3 hrsBurner alignment, regulator fitted and a soapy-water leak test before it is ever lit.
Parasol, cantilever base or gazebo£951–2 hrsBallast is calculated for the wind funnel between London terraces, not guessed.
Shed base or storage box, levelling included£1602–4 hrsA base 15mm out of level is why shed doors stop closing after one winter.

Domestic prices are the total you pay. Commercial and landlord invoices are quoted plus VAT at 20%. ULEZ, the Congestion Charge where it applies, permits and bay suspensions are itemised in the written quote, never added afterwards.

Working in London

London gardens, terraces and light wells.

London outdoor space is small, hard to reach and usually not flat. Those three facts decide how a garden furniture build actually goes.

No side return

Mid-terrace houses in Hackney, Camberwell, Kilburn and Bow have no side access, so every box comes through the hallway and the kitchen. Rattan corner sets ship in three or four cartons and a built module will not go back through a standard 762mm door.

We unpack outside where we can, protect floors where we cannot, and always build in the garden rather than the living room.

Balconies and roof terraces

New-build terraces around Nine Elms, Stratford and the Greenwich Peninsula are exposed and windy. A parasol base sized for a suburban lawn is genuinely dangerous eight floors up.

We ballast to the manufacturer's wind rating, tie down where the terrace allows and will tell you when an item is simply not suitable for the position rather than building it anyway.

Paving that falls away

London patios are laid with a deliberate fall for drainage, usually 1:80 away from the house. A six-seat table on that fall rocks, and a shed base built on it racks the door within a season.

Feet are packed to the actual fall, and shed bases are levelled and checked diagonally before anything is fixed down.

Gas, boundaries and neighbours

Gas BBQs are leak-tested with soapy water and the regulator fitted before hand-over. We also check siting against the boundary, which matters in a narrow terraced garden where a fence sits within a metre of the burner.

Packaging is flattened and taken away on request, rather than filling a communal bin store on a Sunday afternoon.

How it works

Three steps and a written price.

Booking outdoor furniture assembly in london takes three steps — you get a fixed written figure before anyone is sent, and the price on the page is the price on the invoice.

Tell us the postcode and the job

Send photographs or a short video with your London postcode. It takes a couple of minutes and there is nothing to pay to ask.

  2. 2

    Get a fixed written price

  3. 3

Book the slot that suits you

Pick a morning or afternoon window, including evenings and weekends. You get a named team, a text before arrival and paperwork on completion.

London questions

London garden furniture questions.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions.

  • How much does garden furniture assembly cost in London?

£55 for a bistro set, £110 for a six to eight seat dining set, £140 for a rattan corner sofa set, £120 for a gas BBQ and £95 for a parasol or gazebo. Shed base levelling is from £160. Prices include positioning and levelling on your existing surface.

  • Can you build furniture on a balcony or roof terrace?

Yes, and it is a common London booking. Everything is unpacked and built on the terrace itself and the cardboard goes straight back out. Parasol and cantilever bases are ballasted to the manufacturer's wind rating, which matters far more at height than at ground level.

  • Do you assemble and test gas BBQs?

Yes. Burners are aligned, the regulator is fitted to your bottle and every connection is leak-tested with soapy water before hand-over. We also check the siting against fences and boundaries before we light it.

  • Can you lay a base for a shed?

We level and pack an existing base from £160, which covers most London gardens where the surface is old paving with a drainage fall. Laying new concrete or paving is landscaping, and we will refer that rather than bodge a base that will fail.

  • What if there is no side access?

Most London terraces have none, so boxes come through the house. We sheet the hallway and floors, carry cartons rather than built modules, and assemble everything outside — a built rattan corner module will not fit back through a standard door.

  • Do you take the packaging away?

On request, yes. Garden furniture packaging is bulky enough to fill a bin store on its own, so it leaves with us through our registered-carrier route instead of turning into a communal charge for the block.

Really pleased with our house move. The guys came on time, loaded everything carefully like a huge jigsaw! Nothing got broken and even though they were working on an hourly rate they were really efficient, not to waste any time. Our only criticism is that we needed a few items disassembled to get on the… Read in full →
