Retail clearance London

Retail and shop clearance in London shopfitting out, certificates issued.

Shopfitting, signage and residual stock cleared from retail units across every London high street and shopping centre. Gondolas and steel fixtures are segregated for scrap, tills and EPOS hardware move through WEEE with certified data destruction available, and branded stock is destroyed with a certificate on request rather than left to appear elsewhere. Work fits around trading hours or overnight where the unit is still open.

London pricing

London retail clearance prices.

A unit stripped back to a bare shell already clears quickly and cheaply. What sets the price is how much fixed shopfitting — gondolas, till counters, signage — is still bolted in when we arrive.
London retail and shop clearance prices by scope
JobLondon fromTypical timeWhy the London price differs
Small unit clearance, up to 800 sq ft£3203–4 hrsShelving, till point and residual stock cleared from a small format unit such as a kiosk or convenience shop.
Gondola and shelving removal, per run£4520–30 minRetail shelving is bolted and baseplate-fixed, taking longer to dismantle safely than to carry once down.
Till point and EPOS equipment removal£6020–30 minTills and back-office IT are WEEE-classified and removed for certified data destruction where requested.
Branded signage and shopfront fascia removal£280half dayExternal fascia often needs access equipment and care on a listed or conservation-area shopfront.
Full unit clearance, 800–2,500 sq ft£7801 dayA mid-size unit with fixtures, stockroom and back-of-house furniture cleared in one visit for a lease exit.
Residual stock destruction with certificate£1901–2 hrsEnd-of-line or damaged stock destroyed with a certificate so branded goods do not resurface elsewhere.

Commercial clearance is quoted plus VAT at 20%. Waste transfer notes, segregation and tip gate fees are inside the price. ULEZ, the Congestion Charge where it applies, permits, bay suspensions and estate access charges are itemised on the written quote before a vehicle is booked.

Working in London

Why a retail exit is a liability clock, not a moving job.

Every day a unit sits half-cleared past its lease exit date is a day of rates and trade waste liability still running. London retail clearance is priced and scheduled against that date, not against convenience.

Liability runs until the keys go back

A closing unit on a London high street stays liable for business rates and, in many boroughs, a trade waste contract until the lease formally ends. Leaving shopfitting or stock behind at handover does not save money — it simply keeps the liability running while someone else eventually clears it. We work to the exit date agreed with the landlord's agent.

Gondolas and till counters are bolted, not just heavy

Retail shelving is fixed to a baseplate and often to the floor itself, and a till counter is usually built into the shopfront joinery rather than freestanding. Both need dismantling in the right order — the reason a fully-fitted unit takes longer to clear than one already stripped back, even at the same floor area.

Conservation-area shopfronts need care, not just removal

A large number of London high streets sit inside a conservation area, where the original shopfront behind a retailer's branded fascia is often protected even though the branding is not. We remove signage carefully rather than pulling fixings straight through joinery that the landlord is required to keep intact.

Data and stock leave with paperwork, not just a skip

EPOS terminals hold transaction and sometimes customer data, and branded stock left intact can end up resold outside the retailer's control. We route tills through certified data destruction and offer a certificate of destruction for stock and packaging, which is what closes out both risks properly.

How it works

Three steps and a written price.

Booking retail and shop clearance in london takes three steps — you get a fixed written figure before anyone is sent, and the price on the page is the price on the invoice.
  1. 1

Tell us the postcode and the job

Send photographs or a short video with your London postcode. It takes a couple of minutes and there is nothing to pay to ask.

  2. 2

    Get a fixed written price

We come back with one figure for retail and shop clearance in london — ULEZ, the Congestion Charge and disposal or materials already inside it, with any council permit shown at cost.

  3. 3

Book the slot that suits you

Pick a morning or afternoon window, including evenings and weekends. You get a named team, a text before arrival and paperwork on completion.

London questions

London retail clearance questions.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions.

  • How much does shop clearance cost in London?

A small unit up to 800 sq ft starts at £320, and a mid-size unit between 800 and 2,500 sq ft starts at £780. Gondola removal is £45 a run and signage removal from £280. All commercial prices are plus VAT.

  • Can you work while the shop is still trading?

Yes. We schedule overnight or after close so customers are never affected, and only move to daytime access once the unit has formally closed.

  • What happens to the shelving and gondolas?

Steel gondolas and racking are segregated and recycled as scrap where possible; timber units and fixed joinery are removed and disposed of separately.

  • Do you remove branded signage?

Yes, including fascia that needs access equipment. On conservation-area shopfronts we remove branding carefully to avoid damaging the protected frontage underneath.

  • Can you destroy stock rather than leave it for collection?

Yes, with a certificate of destruction issued so branded or end-of-line stock cannot resurface for resale elsewhere.

  • What happens to the till and EPOS system?

It is removed under WEEE rules, with certified data destruction available on request so transaction and customer data cannot be recovered.

  • How quickly can you clear a unit before a lease exit?

Two to three working days for a scheduled clear, next day where the exit date has moved forward. Overnight slots are available for units still trading.

Hannah and her friend were friendly and thoughtful. They were very professional and hard working. They also turned a junk room into a nice bedroom. I cannot thank them or praise them enough.
