London pricing

London appliance clearance priced per machine.

What moves the price in London is the appliance type and the floor it sits on. A fridge costs more than a washer of the same size because refrigerant has to be recovered at a licensed site.
London appliance clearance prices by unit
JobLondon fromTypical timeWhy the London price differs
Small appliance (microwave, vacuum, TV)£4015–30 minSmall WEEE carries a per-item gate fee, so it is priced per unit rather than by load.
Washing machine, dryer or dishwasher£6030 min70–80kg with the drum in, and the London default is a first-floor flat with a turn on the stairs.
Fridge or freezer£7030 minRefrigerant gases must be recovered at a degassing facility, which is a separate licensed stream.
American fridge-freezer or range cooker£9545–60 minThree crew, doors off or a strap lift where a shared stairwell will not take the unit whole.
Kitchen strip-out (four or more appliances)£1801–2 hrsRefit and end-of-tenancy jobs where the whole run is uplifted in a single visit.

Domestic prices are the total you pay. Commercial and landlord invoices are quoted plus VAT at 20%. ULEZ, the Congestion Charge where it applies, permits and bay suspensions are itemised in the written quote, never added afterwards.

Working in London

Why appliance clearance in London is a licensed job.

An old fridge on a London pavement is not a disposal plan — it is a fly-tipping offence with a fixed penalty attached, and the appliance still has to be degassed by somebody.

Fridges are hazardous waste until they are degassed

Fridges, freezers and air-conditioning units contain refrigerant gases and blowing agents that must be recovered at a permitted facility before the shell can be shredded.

We take every refrigerant unit to a licensed degassing site and issue the transfer note that proves it. A collector who cannot tell you which site is a risk you carry, not them.

Retailer takeback rarely covers the old machine

Most delivery slots only include takeback if you booked and paid for it, and it is refused where the old unit is not disconnected or is above the ground floor.

We work to your installation window instead, disconnect the free-standing unit ourselves and clear the space before the new machine comes up the stairs.

The carry is the London problem

Basement kitchens, third-floor walk-ups and lifts too short for an American fridge-freezer are routine here, so the price includes two crew and a sack barrow as standard.

Where a block requires it we book the lift or the loading bay, and we sheet the hall and lobby before anything moves.

Working machines get reused first

Appliances that still run are offered to London reuse partners before recycling is considered — that keeps a working washer in service and costs you nothing.

Everything else is separated for WEEE treatment: metals, plastics and compressors recovered, with the paperwork issued in your name on the day.

How it works

Three steps and a written price.

Booking appliance clearance in london takes three steps — you get a fixed written figure before anyone is sent, and the price on the page is the price on the invoice.
  1. 1

Tell us the postcode and the job

Send photographs or a short video with your London postcode. It takes a couple of minutes and there is nothing to pay to ask.

  2. 2

    Get a fixed written price

We come back with one figure for appliance clearance in london — ULEZ, the Congestion Charge and disposal or materials already inside it, with any council permit shown at cost.

  3. 3

Book the slot that suits you

Pick a morning or afternoon window, including evenings and weekends. You get a named team, a text before arrival and paperwork on completion.

London questions

London appliance clearance questions.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions.

  • How much does appliance removal cost in London?

A small appliance is £40, a washing machine, dryer or dishwasher £60, a fridge or freezer £70, an American fridge-freezer or range cooker £95 and a four-appliance kitchen strip-out £180. Carrying, WEEE disposal and the transfer note are included.

  • Do you take fridges and freezers?

Yes. Refrigerant units go to a licensed degassing facility where the gases are recovered before the shell is recycled, and you get a waste transfer note showing our Environment Agency registration.

  • Will you disconnect the appliance?

We unplug, drain and pull out free-standing plug-in appliances as part of the job. Hard-wired cookers and gas appliances must be disconnected by a qualified electrician or a Gas Safe engineer before we arrive.

  • Can you collect the old machine on the day the new one is delivered?

That is the most common booking we take. Give us the delivery window and we slot the collection just before it, including booking the lift or loading bay where the block requires it.

  • Is there a surcharge for stairs or a basement kitchen?

No. Two crew and a sack barrow come as standard because walk-ups are normal in London. Tell us the floor and whether there is a lift so we send three crew where the unit needs it.

  • What happens to an appliance that still works?

It is offered to London reuse partners first. Only machines that fail a reuse check go for WEEE treatment, where metals, plastics and compressors are recovered separately.

We are over the moon with our one-off deep clean, the team (led by Mo, i think he said his name was!) turned up early and were done within 4 hours, we can't believe how much they got done in that time. They went absolutely above and beyond and cleaned inside cabinets/the fridge even though… Read in full →
