Restaurant clearance London

Restaurant and cafe clearance in London kitchens degassed, grease traps emptied.

Kitchen and front-of-house clearance for restaurants, cafés and takeaways closing or refitting anywhere in London. Refrigeration is certified degassed before removal, grease trap contents go to a licensed food-waste facility, and gas and electrical appliances are only moved once a qualified engineer has signed off the disconnection. Every visit returns a waste transfer note for the lease exit file.

London pricing

London restaurant clearance prices.

A kitchen clearance is priced against how much of it is plumbed, gassed or wired rather than the floor area, which is why a small unit with a full kitchen often costs more to clear than a larger space that only served coffee.

Working in London

What a London kitchen clearance actually has to deal with.

A closing restaurant leaves behind more regulated waste than almost any other type of unit — refrigerant gas, trapped grease and gas-connected appliances all need a specific, licensed route out.

Refrigerant gas comes out before the fridge does

Every cold room and glass-door fridge running on refrigerant has to be certified degassed under F-gas regulations before it can be legally removed. This is booked as its own step ahead of the clearance date, because turning up to a unit with live refrigeration and no engineer booked simply delays the job.

Grease traps are controlled waste, not drainage maintenance

A grease trap holds fat, oil and food solids that cannot go down a general drain or into mixed waste. It has to be emptied by a licensed handler and the disposal note kept, and the trap itself is often plumbed into the unit's drainage in a way that needs disconnecting carefully rather than pulled out.

Most London food waste duty rules require a separate food waste contract while a unit is trading; closing that contract and clearing the last of the food waste and packaging is a distinct task from the kitchen equipment strip-out.

Gas appliances need sign-off, not disconnection guesswork

We do not disconnect gas ourselves — a Gas Safe engineer isolates the appliance and confirms it in writing, and only then does the equipment move. On a tight closure date this is the step worth booking first, since it is the one most likely to hold up the rest of the clearance.

Extraction is the last thing fitted and the last thing to come out

Canopy, ductwork and filters usually run through a false ceiling and were the last part of the original fit-out installed, which makes them the hardest to remove and the most likely to need access equipment. We survey the run before quoting rather than assuming a straightforward ceiling void.

How it works

Three steps and a written price.

Booking restaurant and cafe clearance in london takes three steps — you get a fixed written figure before anyone is sent, and the price on the page is the price on the invoice.
  1. 1

Tell us the postcode and the job

Send photographs or a short video with your London postcode. It takes a couple of minutes and there is nothing to pay to ask.

  2. 2

    Get a fixed written price

We come back with one figure for restaurant and cafe clearance in london — ULEZ, the Congestion Charge and disposal or materials already inside it, with any council permit shown at cost.

  3. 3

Book the slot that suits you

Pick a morning or afternoon window, including evenings and weekends. You get a named team, a text before arrival and paperwork on completion.

London questions

London restaurant clearance questions.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions.

  • How much does restaurant clearance cost in London?

A front-of-house strip-out on a small unit starts at £380 and a full unit closure clearance at £680. Individual kitchen equipment is £65 an item and grease trap removal is £210. All commercial prices are plus VAT.

  • Do you remove fridges and cold rooms?

Yes, with certified F-gas degassing carried out before removal. This is a licensed step that has to happen before any refrigerant-charged unit can legally leave the building.

  • What happens to the grease trap?

It is emptied and removed by a licensed handler and disposed of at a permitted food-waste treatment facility, with the disposal note kept for the site file.

  • Do you disconnect gas appliances yourselves?

No. A Gas Safe engineer isolates and confirms the disconnection in writing, and we remove the appliance once that sign-off is in place.

  • Can you remove the extraction canopy and ductwork?

Yes, including the filters and any run through a false ceiling. We survey it first because canopy runs vary a great deal between units and often need access equipment.

  • Do you issue a certificate of destruction for branded items?

Yes, on request, for branded signage, menus and packaging so nothing intact leaves the unit with the previous operator's name on it.

  • How quickly can you start?

Three to five working days where degassing and Gas Safe sign-off need arranging first. A front-of-house-only clear can often be booked within 48 hours.
