Freestanding gas and electric cookers, ceramic and induction hobs, grill compartments and cast pan supports brought back to a usable finish across every Greater Manchester borough — including the greasy hotplate edges and burner crowns most cleans skip.
A freestanding cooker combines a hob, a grill and an oven cavity, and each one soils differently. Boil-over sugars weld to the hotplate, grill pans carbonise from above rather than below, and burner crowns clog at the jets — which is what causes the yellow, lifting flame people mistake for a gas fault.
We strip the removable parts into the heated tank, clear the burner ports, degrease the hotplate and splashback, clean the grill compartment and runners, then rebuild and light-test every burner. Freestanding cookers are pulled forward where the gas hose and flooring allow, so the sides and the gap either side get cleaned too.

A freestanding cooker is priced on its cavities: single from £65, double or range from £95, with the hob and extractor added from £35 on the same visit.
Pre-war terraces across Farnworth, Radcliffe and Chadderton usually run a freestanding cooker wedged between two units with a two-centimetre gap either side. That gap holds years of fat. We pull the cooker forward where the gas hose allows and clean the sides, the plinth and the floor beneath it as part of the job.
Ninety- and 110-centimetre ranges are common in Hale, Bowdon, Bramhall and Marple. They carry heavy cast pan supports and two or three cavities, so they are priced as a range from the start — nobody gets a single-oven quote and a bill for something else.

Where the flexible gas hose, electrical lead and flooring allow, yes — that is how the sides and the floor gap get cleaned. If the hose is short or the flooring is fragile, we clean everything reachable and tell you what we could not move.
Usually. Yellow, lifting flames are normally blocked burner ports rather than a supply fault. We clear the ports and light-test each burner. If the flame is still wrong afterwards we tell you plainly to call a Gas Safe engineer.
