Gas grills, charcoal kettles, kamados and built-in outdoor kitchens stripped and dip-tanked at your address anywhere in Greater Manchester — carbon off the grates, grease out of the firebox, burner ports cleared and the whole thing rebuilt and tested before we leave.
A barbecue left under a cover from September to May is doing two things at once: rendering old fat in the firebox and rusting the burner tubes from the inside out. By the first warm weekend the grates are welded with carbon, the ignition is unreliable, and the flare-ups people blame on the meat are actually a grease tray that has never been emptied.
We strip the grill on site, soak the grates, flame tamers and burner tubes in the heated tank, scrape and degrease the firebox and lid, clear each burner port with a purpose-made tool, wash the grease tray, and rebuild. Gas models are leak-checked at the hose and regulator and lit on every burner before hand-back.

Bookings spike in late April around Hale, Timperley, Sale, Bramhall and Cheadle Hulme as gardens come back into use. Getting a grill stripped before the first bank holiday beats scrubbing grates on the day, and it is when burner corrosion is easiest to catch cheaply.
Nine months under a cover in this climate traps condensation against steel. Burner tubes corrode from the inside and spiders nest in the venturi, which is the usual cause of a grill that lights on one burner only. We check both as standard and tell you honestly if a burner needs replacing rather than cleaning.
