What we can show you for Frinton & Walton

Here is what our packing services work around Frinton & Walton looks like in practice.

  • Frinton & Walton access and housing notes

CO13, CO14 housing stock and loading reality, written for Frinton & Walton rather than the county.

Packing Services in Frinton & Walton: what actually matters here

A pair of Tendring seaside towns: planned, greensward-fronted Frinton-on-Sea and the older pier resort of Walton-on-the-Naze.

The housing stock is Edwardian and interwar villas and bungalows behind the greensward, seafront flats, and beach-hut and holiday stock at Walton, which decides the tools, protection and crew size we bring to a packing services job.

Frinton is entered over a single level crossing that closes repeatedly through the day, so arrival windows allow for it. Seafront blocks have narrow communal stairs, and salt spray soils external surfaces far faster than inland Tendring.

We survey Frinton & Walton packing services work rather than quoting from bedroom count, because volume and access differ street by street here.

Frinton & Walton is quoted as a whole: Frinton-on-Sea, Walton-on-the-Naze and Kirby Cross are on the same packing services rate as anywhere else inside CO13 and CO14.

Crews covering Frinton & Walton also work clacton-on-sea, harwich-and-dovercourt and colchester, so a packing services slot here is usually part of a local Essex round rather than a long trip out — which is why short-notice and midweek slots are realistic.

Frinton & Walton is a smaller town, and addresses around The Naze Tower and Frinton's greensward and level crossing gates in particular tend to need the access details confirmed before the van is loaded — we ask about that at quote stage, not on the day.

We also work Kirby-le-Soken, Great Holland, The Naze and Frinton greensward as part of the Frinton & Walton area, with no difference in how the packing services quote is built.

We do not treat a Frinton & Walton–brightlingsea packing services as long distance; it stays on the local round and on the local price list.

Every Frinton & Walton quote starts from the address itself. Two CO13 properties a few streets apart can need different crew sizes for the same packing services.

Frinton & Walton is planned as Frinton-on-Sea (CO13), Walton-on-the-Naze (CO14) and Kirby Cross (CO13) and the streets around them, which is how the crew knows the approach in advance.

We hold 8 named parts of Frinton & Walton on the routing sheet, from Frinton-on-Sea through to Walton seafront, all inside CO13 and CO14.

Because Frinton & Walton shares crews with clacton-on-sea and harwich-and-dovercourt, we can usually offer a choice of two dates for a packing services instead of one.

What a packing services job includes

Packing is priced two ways so you only buy what you need: per packer per hour — £30 for one, £55 for two, with a two-hour minimum — or as a fixed price by property size, from £180 for a studio or one-bed, £280 for a two-bed and £420 for a three-bed. Materials are charged at cost, a two-bed materials pack starts at £68, and empty cartons are collected free after the move. Unpacking at the new address is charged the same hourly way, with boxes flattened and taken away.

Materials

  • Double-wall cartons, tissue paper, bubble wrap and tape supplied and charged at cost
  • Wardrobe cartons so hanging clothes travel on the rail
  • Purpose-made cartons for pictures, mirrors, TVs and lamps
  • Mattress bags and protective covers for soft furnishings

The pack

  • Room-by-room packing with a numbered inventory as we go
  • Every carton labelled with its room and its contents, not just a room name
  • China, glass and stemware individually wrapped and packed on edge rather than stacked flat
  • Electronics packed with their cables, and screens boxed upright
  • A clearly marked essentials box kept back for the first night

Options

  • Fragile-only pack for the kitchen and glassware, from £120, when you are doing the rest yourself
  • Full pack the day before the move so loading starts on time
  • Unpacking at the new address at £30 per hour, with cartons flattened and removed
  • Free collection of empty cartons after you have finished unpacking

What changes the price on a packing services job

  • Boxes you packed yourself are still covered for transit, but we cannot verify the contents or how they were wrapped; where a fragile item matters, let us pack it and it is documented on the inventory.
  • Materials are at cost, not a profit line, so over-ordering costs you money for no benefit — we would rather bring a realistic quantity and top up than sell you a pallet of cartons.
  • We do not pack fuel, aerosols under pressure, paint or gas bottles, and open food and plants are best moved by you in the car.
  • Packing takes longer than people expect. A studio is typically four to six hours for one packer and a family home a full day for two, which is why the fixed prices are set by property size rather than by an optimistic hour count.
  • The kitchen is the room that decides the timings — glassware, china and small appliances are slow, careful work, and it is the room most often left to the last hour by self-packers.

About Frinton & Walton

Frinton-on-Sea and Walton-on-the-Naze are two very different Tendring resorts sharing one crew. Frinton was planned: wide avenues of Edwardian and interwar villas and bungalows set back behind the greensward, with a large retired population and a housing stock that downsizes and clears often. Walton is the older pier town, denser, with seafront flats, holiday accommodation and beach-hut stock stretching towards the Naze.

Two constraints shape every booking. Frinton is reached over a single level crossing that closes repeatedly through the day, so arrival windows here are written around the barriers, not the mileage — and a removal that has to cross it twice is planned as one loaded run. Second, salt spray off the North Sea soils glass, render, uPVC and decking much faster than inland, so external cleaning on this coast is honestly a maintenance cycle. Tendring falls under the Essex County Council waste scheme, where tip slots are booked and vans need a permit; our clearances leave on our own licence instead.

Common questions

Frinton & Walton questions, answered.

  • How much does packing services cost in Frinton & Walton?

Packing Services in Frinton & Walton (CO13, CO14) starts from £45 per hour. The final figure is fixed before booking and reflects the size of the property, the floor level and the access — which in Frinton & Walton usually means frinton is entered over a single level crossing that closes repeatedly through the day, so arrival windows allow for it. Seafront blocks have narrow communal stairs, and salt spray soils external surfaces far faster than inland Tendring.

  • Do you cover the whole of Frinton & Walton?

Yes — every CO13 and CO14 street, plus the surrounding Essex towns. Crews are routed within the county rather than dispatched from London, so short-notice slots are realistic.

  • Are you insured for packing services work?

We carry £1m public liability cover and hold Environment Agency waste carrier licence CBDU300454. Certificates are available on request and the details are published on our trust and credentials page.

  • How quickly can you book packing services in Frinton & Walton?

Same-week slots are standard in Frinton & Walton, with next-day often available midweek. Month-end tenancy changeovers are the busiest window across Essex, so book those a week or two ahead.

  • Should I pay for packing or do it myself?

Do the wardrobes and the books yourself if you have the time; get the kitchen, the glassware and anything breakable packed properly. A fragile-only pack from £120 buys most of the protection for a fraction of the full-pack price.

  • How many boxes will I need?

We estimate from the survey and bring what the property size suggests — a two-bed materials pack starts at £68 — then top up if needed. Materials are charged at cost, so you pay for what you actually use.

  • Do you take the empty boxes away?

Yes. Empty cartons are collected free after the move, and if you book unpacking they are flattened and taken away on the same visit.
