Furniture Disposal in Southampton: what actually matters here
Our Southampton footprint runs across SO14, SO15 and SO16 and takes in Portswood, Highfield, St Denys, Swaythling and Bevois Valley, all on the same furniture disposal pricing.
As one of the larger settlements in the county built around The cruise terminals and the old town walls, with the Itchen Bridge crossing east, Southampton has a mix of approach roads and loading points, so we confirm parking and carry distance when you book rather than assuming.
About Southampton
Southampton gives us more completed work than any other place in Hampshire, and a large share of it moves on an academic calendar rather than a property one. The shared houses and purpose-built blocks through Portswood, Highfield, Swaythling and St Denys change hands in a compressed window over the summer, which means end-of-tenancy cleans, small moves and part-load clearances arrive in bulk rather than evenly.
What a furniture disposal job includes
Furniture disposal covers the whole removal, not a kerbside collection: the crew protects the carry route, dismantles bulky pieces where necessary, removes them from the room and routes reusable or recyclable material correctly. Upholstered items, mattresses and electrical furniture are separated into their proper waste streams and every collection receives a transfer note.
Items collected
- Sofas, armchairs and dining sets
- Beds, divans, mattresses and wardrobes
- Tables, drawers, shelving and storage
- Mixed room sets and delivery-day replacements
Carry and dismantling
- Two-person carry where weight or stairs require it
- Dismantling in the room when an item will not clear the door
- Protection for floors, doors and banisters
- Loading from upper floors, garages and outbuildings
Responsible disposal
- Reuse considered first for serviceable, compliant items
- Mattress and upholstered-furniture streams separated
- Licensed transfer-station disposal
- Waste transfer note issued after collection
What changes the price on a furniture disposal job
- Pianos, safes, hazardous materials and fly-tipped waste need separate specialist arrangements.
- A photograph of the item and route out is needed where stairs or a narrow doorway may require dismantling.
- Upholstered furniture without the required fire label may not be accepted for reuse and must enter the regulated waste stream.

Reviews for Furniture Disposal across the UK
Absolutely brilliant. A convenient website to book appointments and list all the jobs required. The team arrived on time warning me in advance that they are about to come. They cleaned everything so thoroughly that they found all the items I missed inside the furniture. Also, all the work was done very quickly, I didn't… Read in full →
My driver was absolutely amazing, went above and beyond to help. There professionalism was incredible. There had been a mix up with company about dismantling furniture, but he did it anyone and didn't moan. He made my move a lot less stressful and they were all top guys. Thank you!!
Good service, I just have exceptionally high standards and noted that in some areas things had been cleaned around, eg bathroom bin, rather than moved. I know the service rules state no moving of furniture but I thought they would move smaller items. Overall though, really good, the team were very hard working.

Southampton questions, answered.
How quickly can you book furniture disposal in Southampton?
Same-week slots are standard in Southampton, with next-day often available midweek. Month-end tenancy changeovers are the busiest window across Hampshire, so book those a week or two ahead.
Do I need to put the furniture outside?
No. The service includes carrying it from the room where it stands and dismantling standard furniture where access requires it.
Can you collect when my replacement furniture arrives?
Yes. Give us the delivery window and we can plan the old item out before the new one is carried in.
Will I receive disposal paperwork?
Yes. A waste transfer note records the collection and protects your duty of care.
