Office relocation in Offerton

Move the office, keep the week

Need to move your office in Offerton without losing a trading day? A named move manager owns the whole job: survey, crates, dismantle, transport, rebuild, IT reconnection and the clear-out of everything you are leaving behind. One team, one fixed commercial removals price, Stockport crews.

Large residential district climbing east out of Stockport towards the Goyt valley and the Peak fringe. That mix decides the method: Interwar semis on the lower slopes, 1960s estate housing above the Green and stone cottages near the old hamlet. A converted floor with a single passenger lift is a different plan from a modern unit with a dock, and both exist within a few streets of The Goyt valley path and Offerton Green.

Permits and loading windows are handled with Stockport Council in advance, and both landlords receive a method statement, risk assessment and our £5m liability certificate before anyone arrives on site.

Teams booking this in Offerton usually add office cleaning in Offerton and commercial cleaning in Offerton to the same job. We run the same office removals crews next door in Stockport and Hazel Grove, and across the region from our Greater Manchester hub.

Three steps, no downtime

How an Offerton office move works

  1. 1. Book a free survey

Tell us desk numbers, floors and both addresses. A surveyor visits your Offerton office — usually within 48 hours — and records the inventory, the lift, the doors and the loading route.

  2. 2. Approve the fixed plan

You get one fixed price, a timed schedule, the crate delivery date and RAMS for both buildings. Nothing changes on the night unless you add to the inventory.

  3. 3. We move out of hours

Crates land a week ahead. The move runs evening, overnight or across a weekend, desks are rebuilt to plan and IT reconnected, so Offerton staff walk into a working floor.

What the fixed price buys

What is included in Offerton

Free pre-move survey

A surveyor walks both your Offerton floor and the destination, measures the lift, the doors and the loading route, and writes the inventory the fixed price is built on.

Crates, bags and sleeves

Lidded crates, IT bags, monitor sleeves, trolleys and labels delivered a week ahead, collected after — the first week's hire is inside the quote.

Out-of-hours crews

Evening, overnight and weekend slots so Offerton staff never lose a trading day. Weekend work is priced in, never charged as a premium.

Dismantle and rebuild

Desks, benches, pedestals, storage walls and screens taken down and rebuilt to your new floor plan, with fixings bagged per item.

IT relocation

Workstations, monitors and peripherals unplugged, bagged and port-labelled, then reconnected at the correct desk positions ready for log-in.

Access and permits

Goods lifts, docks and Stockport Council loading bays booked in advance, with RAMS and insurance certificates issued to both building managers.

Confidential handling

Archive boxes, filing and secure records moved under a sealed, numbered manifest with a signed handover at the far end.

Clear-out and recycling

Old furniture, WEEE and shredded paper removed on the way out so your Offerton lease hands back empty — with waste transfer notes.

About Offerton

Large residential district climbing east out of Stockport towards the Goyt valley and the Peak fringe. A Cheshire hamlet on the Marple road, built out with interwar semis and then a substantial 1960s estate above Offerton Green.

Offerton Precinct shops, Woodbank Memorial Park and Peak-facing walking clubs. The best-known landmark is The Goyt valley path and Offerton Green, and the SK1/SK2 postcodes reach Stockport, Hazel Grove, Romiley, Marple within a short drive.

For an office move, what matters most locally is the building fabric: interwar semis on the lower slopes, 1960s estate housing above the Green and stone cottages near the old hamlet. Goyt valley run-off and a steep east-facing aspect mean silted drives and heavy moss on stone steps and retaining walls.

Offerton office removals FAQs

  • How much do office removals cost in Offerton?

A micro office of up to five desks starts at £420, six to ten desks from £650, and ten to thirty desks from £1,450. A full floor of 30–60 desks starts at £3,200. UK market rates for the same work typically run £500–£1,200 for a small office and £3,000–£10,000 for a large one, so we quote at or below the middle of the range — and always as a fixed price after a free Offerton survey. Booked most often on the SK1 streets around The Goyt valley path.

  • Can you move our Offerton office over a weekend or overnight?

Yes, and it is our default. Most Stockport relocations run Friday evening to Sunday afternoon so your team returns to a rebuilt, reconnected floor on Monday. Out-of-hours work is priced into the fixed quote rather than added as a premium. Stockport Council loading rules on the SK1 end are checked before the slot is confirmed.

  • Can you move us over a weekend?

Yes — most Greater Manchester office moves run Friday evening to Sunday so staff return to a working floor on Monday. Weekend work is priced into the fixed quote, not added as a premium. Local context matters here: a cheshire hamlet on the marple road, built out with interwar semis and then a substantial 1960s estate above offerton green, which is why the access varies so much between neighbouring streets.

    Link to this answer
  • Do you supply RAMS for the building manager?

Yes. A method statement, risk assessment and our liability certificate are issued with the booking confirmation, addressed to both the outgoing and incoming building managers. Priced the same whether you are moving inside Offerton or across to Stockport.

  • Who handles the IT?

Our crews unplug, bag and port-label workstations, monitors and peripherals, then reconnect them at the new desk positions. Server racks and comms cabinets are moved with your IT provider on site for the power-down and power-up. Most Offerton properties give us a driveway, so the hours go into lofts, garages and garden kit.

    Link to this answer
  • Is there anything you cannot move out of Offerton?

Pianos, safes, American fridges, gym equipment and large glass units all move, but they are quoted at survey because they need extra crew or kit. Paint, fuel, gas bottles and perishables we cannot legally carry — Stockport customers usually clear those with the same booking. Local context matters here: a cheshire hamlet on the marple road, built out with interwar semis and then a substantial 1960s estate above offerton green, which is why the access varies so much between neighbouring streets.

    Link to this answer
  • How long does a office move in Offerton usually take?

Most SK1 office relocations finish inside a working day. Floor level, lift availability and carry distance change that more than the size of the property, which is why we time the job from the survey rather than the bedroom count. Stockport Council loading rules on the SK1 end are checked before the slot is confirmed.

    Link to this answer
  • What about loading and parking around The Goyt valley path and Offerton Green?

Stockport Council sets the loading, permit and suspension rules on these streets. We confirm the bay, the goods-lift slot and the dock window at survey, so the crew is unloading rather than circling SK1 and SK2 on the night. Crews run from Stockport, so Stockport and Hazel Grove journeys carry no out-of-area charge.

    Link to this answer
  • Do you handle the IT and server equipment?

Workstations, monitors, docks and peripherals are unplugged, bagged and port-labelled by our crew, then reconnected at the correct desk on the new plan. For comms cabinets and server racks we work alongside your IT provider, who owns the power-down and power-up windows. Priced the same whether you are moving inside Offerton or across to Stockport.

    Link to this answer
  • Can you clear and clean the old Offerton office as well?

We can. Redundant furniture, WEEE and confidential paper are removed under waste transfer notes on the way out, and a dilapidations-standard clean can be booked for the same weekend so the lease hands back clean and empty. Roughly 5,800 households sit inside these postcodes, so weekend dates here go early.

    Link to this answer
  • Will the building manager get RAMS and insurance documents?

Yes. A method statement, risk assessment, £5m public liability certificate and goods-in-transit cover note are issued with your booking confirmation, addressed to both the outgoing and incoming Offerton building managers. Booked most often on the SK1 streets around The Goyt valley path.

    Link to this answer
  • Do you cover the areas around Offerton?

Yes — Stockport, Hazel Grove, Romiley, Marple, Bredbury and every other Greater Manchester district, each with its own office removals page and the same fixed pricing. Most Offerton properties give us a driveway, so the hours go into lofts, garages and garden kit.

    Link to this answer
  • How far in advance should we book an office move in Offerton?

Three to four weeks is comfortable for up to thirty desks, and six to eight weeks for a full floor with phased IT. Short-notice Offerton moves are often possible — we hold weekend capacity back for exactly that. Booked most often on the SK1 streets around The Goyt valley path.

    Link to this answer
  • Can you handle the stairs and access in semi-detached homes around The Goyt valley path and Offerton Green?

Semis here usually give you a driveway or a dropped kerb, which keeps the carry short — the time goes into loft contents, garage shelving and the garden kit people forget to mention until the day. Send a short video of the stairwell and the street and we will confirm crew size before the date is held. Booked most often on the SK1 streets around The Goyt valley path.

    Link to this answer
  • Do I need a parking permit or bay suspension in Offerton?

Often, yes — Stockport Council controls loading on most SK1 and SK2 streets. We check your street at survey and, where a suspension saves a long carry, we apply for it and show the cost in the quote before you accept it. Roughly 5,800 households sit inside these postcodes, so weekend dates here go early.

Access, parking and timing

Loading in Offerton: what the crew plans for

Interwar semis on the lower slopes, 1960s estate housing above the Green and stone cottages near the old hamlet. That stock, the street it sits on and the Stockport Council rules over it decide how long the day takes — so all three are settled at survey, not on the morning.

The best slot to book here

Start times here are set by the access, not the diary: where a lift, a bay or a school-run street is involved the crew starts early and finishes inside the day rather than paying for a second visit. Booked most often on the SK1 streets around The Goyt valley path.

What to tell us at survey

Tell us about the loft, the garage, the shed and anything that will not come apart. It is the unlisted items, not the address, that turn a comfortable day into an overtime one. Offerton Precinct shops, Woodbank Memorial Park and Peak-facing walking clubs — worth telling us about if it closes your street on the day.

Getting furniture out of Offerton properties

Driveway loading makes these moves efficient. What moves the price is the loft, the garage and the shed, so the survey deliberately opens all three. Priced the same whether you are moving inside Offerton or across to Stockport.

Permits and loading around Offerton

The crew should be carrying, not circling. We confirm the restriction type on the SK1 end, arrange a suspension through Stockport Council where it is worth it, and plan the closest legal standing point to the door. Stockport Council loading rules on the SK1 end are checked before the slot is confirmed.

Evening and weekend crews

Out-of-hours office move in Offerton

Crated Friday evening, moved overnight, desks and IT live for Monday — the sequence most Stockport tenants book so no trading day is lost. Most Offerton properties give us a driveway, so the hours go into lofts, garages and garden kit.

Desk moves and internal churn

Reconfiguring a floor rather than leaving the building: benches broken down, relabelled and rebuilt overnight to a numbered floor plan. Local context matters here: a cheshire hamlet on the marple road, built out with interwar semis and then a substantial 1960s estate above offerton green, which is why the access varies so much between neighbouring streets.

Move plus clearance

Lease-end exit with clearance

What moves, moves; what does not is cleared under waste transfer notes and the space handed back to the dilapidations spec in one booking. Local context matters here: a cheshire hamlet on the marple road, built out with interwar semis and then a substantial 1960s estate above offerton green, which is why the access varies so much between neighbouring streets.

RAMS supplied

Serviced-office and lift-restricted buildings

Goods-lift slots, building inductions and RAMS for the managing agent are arranged in advance, with the loading bay near The Goyt valley path and Offerton Green booked for the window we are given. Booked most often on the SK1 streets around The Goyt valley path.

Before you book

What you are actually agreeing to

Before you pay a deposit anywhere, check the quote answers these four questions. Ours does, in writing, before your Offerton date is held.

The price cannot move on the day

Access, stair turns, parking and carry distance are all priced at survey. If nothing is added to the inventory, the SK1 figure you accepted is the figure you pay.

Dates that move

Your load stays sealed and insured overnight for a fixed fee and delivers first thing — we do not unload onto a driveway or re-quote the second day at short-notice rates.

If something goes wrong

Goods-in-transit and public liability cover is in place on every Offerton office relocation, and claims go to a named account manager here rather than a form.

Talk to someone local

Four weeks before — book and confirm

  • Confirm the move date and slot for your Offerton address in writing.
  • Book the van size against your property type — Interwar semis on the lower slopes, 1960s estate housing above the Green and stone cottages near the old hamlet.
  • Check whether Stockport Council needs a parking dispensation or suspended bay on your street.
  • Tell your landlord or agent the exact handover date and key-return time.
  • Book any end-of-tenancy or pre-move-in clean for the day either side of the move.
  • Start using up freezer food, cleaning products and anything that cannot travel.

Two weeks before — paperwork and access

  • Apply for the Stockport Council permit or bay suspension (allow 5–10 working days).
  • Book the lift or service entrance if your building near The Goyt valley path and Offerton Green has one.
  • Redirect post and update your address on the SK1 electoral roll, bank and insurance.
  • Notify energy, water, broadband and council tax with opening and closing dates.
  • Register with a new GP, dentist and vet if you are leaving the area.
  • Arrange school transfers or nursery notice periods.

One week before — pack room by room

  • Label every box with the destination room, not the room it came from.
  • Pack a 'first night' box: kettle, mugs, chargers, bedding, toilet roll, medication.
  • Photograph the back of the TV and any flat-pack you are dismantling.
  • Drain the washing machine and fit its transit bolts.
  • Dispose of paint, oils and garden waste through the Stockport Council tip — the crew cannot legally load them.
  • Set aside valuables, passports and jewellery to travel with you.

The day before — final prep

  • Charge phones and keep a paper copy of the crew's number and the new address.
  • Defrost the fridge-freezer and towel it dry.
  • Take meter readings at the old property and photograph them.
  • Put cones or bins out to hold the loading space if Offerton parking is tight.
  • Bag bedding and clothes, and strip the beds you are taking.
  • Confirm arrival window with the crew and the key-collection time with the agent.

Moving day — loading

  • Walk the crew through the property and flag fragile and do-not-load items.
  • Protect carpets, stair noses and door frames before the first box moves.
  • Load heavy furniture first, boxes second, soft furnishings last.
  • Keep the first-night box and paperwork with you, not in the van.
  • Check lofts, sheds, the garden and every cupboard before the van leaves.
  • Final meter readings, lock up and hand back keys.

Moving day — unloading and sign-off

  • Direct each box to its labelled room as it comes off the van.
  • Build beds first so the day can end even if boxes are still packed.
  • Test the boiler, hot water, smoke alarms and the consumer unit.
  • Take arrival meter readings and photograph them.
  • Check items against your inventory and report damage before the crew leaves.
  • Break down boxes and book a recycling collection or clearance slot.
