What we can show you for Frinton & Walton

Here is what our garden clearance work around Frinton & Walton looks like in practice.

  • Frinton & Walton access and housing notes

CO13, CO14 housing stock and loading reality, written for Frinton & Walton rather than the county.

Garden Clearance in Frinton & Walton: what actually matters here

A pair of Tendring seaside towns: planned, greensward-fronted Frinton-on-Sea and the older pier resort of Walton-on-the-Naze.

The housing stock is Edwardian and interwar villas and bungalows behind the greensward, seafront flats, and beach-hut and holiday stock at Walton, which decides the tools, protection and crew size we bring to a garden clearance job.

Frinton is entered over a single level crossing that closes repeatedly through the day, so arrival windows allow for it. Seafront blocks have narrow communal stairs, and salt spray soils external surfaces far faster than inland Tendring.

Frinton & Walton garden clearance pricing follows the volume loaded and the carry out of the property, so we ask for photos of the whole space rather than the worst corner.

We treat Frinton & Walton as one service area: Frinton-on-Sea, Walton-on-the-Naze and Kirby Cross and the rest of CO13 and CO14 share the same garden clearance price list and the same crews.

Frinton & Walton sits on a round that already includes clacton-on-sea, harwich-and-dovercourt and colchester, which is why a garden clearance slot here rarely needs a week's notice.

As a smaller town built around The Naze Tower and Frinton's greensward and level crossing gates, Frinton & Walton has a mix of approach roads and loading points, so we confirm parking and carry distance when you book rather than assuming.

We also work Kirby-le-Soken, Great Holland, The Naze and Frinton greensward as part of the Frinton & Walton area, with no difference in how the garden clearance quote is built.

If your garden clearance job runs between Frinton & Walton and brightlingsea, it is still one booking and one price — we do not split a local job across two quotes.

A CO13 postcode tells us the area; the house number tells us the access, and it is the access that prices the garden clearance.

For routing we hold Frinton & Walton as its named parts — Frinton-on-Sea (CO13), Walton-on-the-Naze (CO14) and Kirby Cross (CO13) — so the crew knows the approach before the van leaves.

8 named areas make up our Frinton & Walton coverage. Frinton-on-Sea and Walton seafront are the outer markers, CO13 and CO14 the postcode span.

We confirm the Frinton & Walton slot in writing with a time window, and the crew calls from clacton-on-sea or harwich-and-dovercourt when they set off.

What a garden clearance job includes

Garden clearance is the removal of green waste and everything else a garden accumulates: prunings, hedge cuttings, turf, soil, old decking and fence panels, broken furniture, pots, a collapsed shed. Green waste from £95 covers cutting, bagging and removal, and where the load is mixed it is priced by the volume of the van you actually fill, from £110 for a quarter load to £310 for a full load of roughly 12 cubic yards. Everything leaves with a waste transfer note under Environment Agency registration CBDU300454.

Cutting back

  • Overgrowth, brambles and shrubs cut back to the line you agree before we start
  • Hedges reduced and the arisings removed rather than left in a pile
  • Weeds and self-seeded growth cleared from beds, paths and paving joints
  • Turf and topsoil lifted where a bed or a path is being taken out

Hard items

  • Old fence panels, posts, trellis and rotten decking removed
  • Sheds and greenhouses dismantled and taken away where they are safe to break down
  • Broken garden furniture, pots, planters, play equipment and trampolines
  • Rubble, hardcore and spoil segregated as its own waste stream

Loading and disposal

  • Full crew carry — nothing left for you to drag to the front
  • Access route protected and the path or drive swept afterwards
  • Green waste taken to a composting route and hard waste segregated at a licensed transfer station
  • Waste transfer note issued in your name, usually the same day

What changes the price on a garden clearance job

  • Access decides the labour. A garden reached only through the house, or up a shared alley, is a longer carry than one with side or rear vehicle access, and we ask which yours is at quote stage.
  • Soil, rubble and hardcore are heavy waste charged as their own stream, because the transfer station charges by weight rather than volume. Mixing them into a green-waste price would be a price that changed on the day.
  • Nesting birds are protected by law between March and August, and we will not cut a hedge that is in active use. If we find a nest we stop that section and tell you.
  • Asbestos — common in old shed and garage roofing — fuel, gas bottles and chemicals are outside our licence. If we suspect it, we stop, tell you and point you to a licensed contractor rather than loading it.
  • Green waste is bulky and light, so a garden that looks like a small job can fill a van quickly. Photos of the whole garden — not just the worst corner — get you a firm price instead of a range.

Hannah and her friend were friendly and thoughtful. They were very professional and hard working. They also turned a junk room into a nice bedroom. I cannot thank them or praise them enough.

About Frinton & Walton

Frinton-on-Sea and Walton-on-the-Naze are two very different Tendring resorts sharing one crew. Frinton was planned: wide avenues of Edwardian and interwar villas and bungalows set back behind the greensward, with a large retired population and a housing stock that downsizes and clears often. Walton is the older pier town, denser, with seafront flats, holiday accommodation and beach-hut stock stretching towards the Naze.

Two constraints shape every booking. Frinton is reached over a single level crossing that closes repeatedly through the day, so arrival windows here are written around the barriers, not the mileage — and a removal that has to cross it twice is planned as one loaded run. Second, salt spray off the North Sea soils glass, render, uPVC and decking much faster than inland, so external cleaning on this coast is honestly a maintenance cycle. Tendring falls under the Essex County Council waste scheme, where tip slots are booked and vans need a permit; our clearances leave on our own licence instead.

Common questions

Frinton & Walton questions, answered.

  • How much does garden clearance cost in Frinton & Walton?

Garden Clearance in Frinton & Walton (CO13, CO14) starts from £95. The final figure is fixed before booking and reflects the size of the property, the floor level and the access — which in Frinton & Walton usually means frinton is entered over a single level crossing that closes repeatedly through the day, so arrival windows allow for it. Seafront blocks have narrow communal stairs, and salt spray soils external surfaces far faster than inland Tendring.

  • Do you cover the whole of Frinton & Walton?

Yes — every CO13 and CO14 street, plus the surrounding Essex towns. Crews are routed within the county rather than dispatched from London, so short-notice slots are realistic.

  • Are you insured for garden clearance work?

We carry £1m public liability cover and hold Environment Agency waste carrier licence CBDU300454. Certificates are available on request and the details are published on our trust and credentials page.

  • How quickly can you book garden clearance in Frinton & Walton?

Same-week slots are standard in Frinton & Walton, with next-day often available midweek. Month-end tenancy changeovers are the busiest window across Essex, so book those a week or two ahead.

  • How is a garden clearance priced?

Green waste starts from £95 for cut, bagged and removed. Mixed loads are priced by the volume of the van you fill — £110 a quarter, £180 a half, £310 full — with all labour, sweeping and tip fees included, so you are never charged for space you do not use.

  • Do you do the cutting as well as the taking away?

Yes. Cutting back, dismantling and lifting is part of the job — you do not need to have piled it up first. If it is already bagged, say so and the price reflects the shorter labour.

  • Where does the green waste go?

Green waste goes to a composting route and hard waste is segregated at a licensed transfer station, with over 90% of what we collect kept out of landfill. You get the waste transfer note either way, which is your legal record of where it went.
