House Removals across Berkshire

The hardest part of a Berkshire house move is rarely the mileage — it is the Windsor town-centre loading bollards near a race-day closure, the Bracknell cul-de-sac layout where the nearest legal stop is forty metres from the door, or the narrow Hungerford High Street a large lorry cannot pass.

Why Berkshire customers book us

Surveyed before the price is fixed

Video or in-person survey covering volume, floor level, stairs and where a 3.5t or 7.5t vehicle can legally stop at both ends.

No stairs, mileage or waiting surcharges

Everything a normal Berkshire move throws up is inside the quoted figure. If completion runs late, we do not restart the meter.

Crews sized to the borough, not the postcode

A Reading terrace, a Bracknell cul-de-sac and a Windsor mews need different vehicles and different crew sizes, and we plan for the actual street rather than an assumed one.

Goods in transit and £1m liability cover

Insured properly, with a documented claims process, and furniture blanket-wrapped and strapped rather than stacked and hoped for.

House Removals prices in Berkshire

Every figure below is a fixed price for the whole job, confirmed in writing before you book — not an hourly rate and not an estimate.

How booking works

  1. 1

    Book the survey

Ten minutes on video is usually enough. We look at the big furniture, the loft, the garage and the shed — the three places that break estimates.

  2. 2

    Fixed price, dated and crewed

You get the figure, the crew size, the vehicle and the arrival window in writing, with any permit or bay-suspension cost itemised.

  3. 3

    Move day, then the follow-up

We rebuild the beds before we leave, take the packing waste with us, and call the next day to close anything outstanding.

Booked them for one Bed Flat move from Hammersmith to Epsom. They packed all my stuff and loaded in less than 2 hours. I was also able to travel in the van to the destination. Thanks to Alan and his colleague. Forgot his name.

We ordered two men and van from their Hello Vans site, we found everything easy and friendly. We managed to book it online and able to contact the movers on the day. They did supper good job.

Mostafa’s Loqman team were lovely. Mostafa is extremely accommodating. I had a logistically difficult clean (lots of boxes due to moving in) but he managed to instruct carefully how the clean should be carried out. Will definitely call again in the future.

Towns we cover in Berkshire

Same fixed prices countywide. Towns with their own house removals page link straight to it; the rest link to the town hub, where every division we run is listed.

House Removals in Berkshire

Berkshire's six unitary authorities each carry different housing stock, and it shows up directly in how a removal is planned. Reading's dense Victorian terraces in Tilehurst, Whitley and Katesgrove have no off-street parking and often a bay-suspension application to make first; Bracknell's 1960s and 70s New Town estates put houses around a green with parking in a separate court, which regularly means a longer carry than the floor plan suggests; and Windsor & Maidenhead's older cores add bollard-controlled loading and race-day or event closures that a fixed schedule has to work around.

Further out, the county's rural edges bring the opposite problem to the towns. Hungerford's Georgian High Street and canal crossing will not take a large lorry, Datchet and Old Windsor carry Thames flood-risk access considerations at certain times of year, and roads near Broadmoor and the RMA at Sandhurst have standing access restrictions that affect the surrounding streets. We survey to the actual address rather than to a county-wide assumption, which is what keeps a fixed price fixed on the day.

Berkshire questions

House Removals in Berkshire — your questions.

  • How far ahead should I book a Berkshire move?

Two to four weeks for a weekday, longer for a Friday or month-end — the busiest slots across Reading, Slough and Maidenhead. Short-notice moves are possible when a chain moves suddenly, and we will tell you honestly what is left.

  • Do different Berkshire councils need different parking permits?

Yes — Reading, Slough, Bracknell Forest, West Berkshire, Windsor & Maidenhead and Wokingham each run their own bay-suspension scheme, and we apply for the right one for your address rather than assuming one process fits all six.

  • Can you get a lorry down a narrow high street like Hungerford's?

Not a large one. We size the vehicle to the street at survey stage, and narrow historic centres are usually worked with a smaller vehicle and, where needed, a short shuttle.

  • Will you dismantle and rebuild furniture?

Yes — beds, wardrobes, tables and flat-pack units are dismantled at the old address and rebuilt at the new one as part of the move.

  • What happens if completion is delayed on the day?

We wait. Chain delays are normal and we do not restart the clock or add a waiting fee to a fixed-price move.
