Cleaning

Cleaning is the one service we never sell by the hour. A meter rewards a slow cleaner and punishes a fast one, so every clean is priced as a job: a figure agreed in writing before anyone opens a cupboard.

Moving & removals

Small moves are charged hourly because you only pay for the time on the clock. Whole-home moves are surveyed and priced as one fixed figure, so nothing changes on moving day.

£45/hr

Handyman

Most handyman jobs are too small to survey, so we publish two things: an honest hourly rate with a one-hour minimum, and flat prices for the jobs we do every week.

£35/hr

Clearance & waste

Clearance is priced by the volume of the van you actually fill. You are never charged for empty space, and labour, sweeping up and tip fees are already inside the figure.

Six things to check before you compare quotes

Headline rates are easy to undercut. These are the questions that tell you what a quote really costs — ask them of us and of anyone else you are considering.

  1. 01

Is it a price or an estimate?

An estimate can move on the day. Ask for the figure in writing and ask what specifically would change it. Ours is fixed unless you add work.

  2. 02

    What is the minimum charge?

Hourly quotes often hide a two- or three-hour minimum. A £30/hr rate with a 3-hour minimum costs more than £45/hr for 90 minutes of work.

  3. 03

Are materials, tip fees and travel included?

Waste transfer and tip fees, cleaning products, blankets and fixings are inside our price. Many quotes add them afterwards.

  4. 04

Is the firm insured and licensed?

Ask for the public liability figure, goods-in-transit cover and — for any waste — the Environment Agency waste carrier licence number.

  5. 05

    Who actually turns up?

Marketplaces resell your job to whoever bids. Ours is carried out by vetted, DBS-checked crews we train and insure ourselves.

  6. 06

What happens if it is not right?

A price is only good if it includes putting things right. Ours carries a 24-hour return at no extra cost.

Does where you live change the price?

Barely. We quote the same national rates everywhere we work; only genuine, itemised costs are added, and always before you book.

  • Central London & inner boroughs

Congestion charge and ULEZ zones, permit-only parking

Add 10–15% on labour, plus any permit or charge at cost

  • Outer London & the South East

    Greater London outskirts, Kent, Surrey

    Standard national rates

  • Major cities

Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol, Glasgow, Cardiff

    Standard national rates

  • Towns and rural routes

Anywhere over 15 miles from a crew base

Mileage quoted up front, never a surprise call-out fee

What sits outside the price

  • Parking permits, congestion charge and ULEZ where genuinely incurred — always itemised, never marked up
  • Congested or restricted access beyond a third-floor walk-up, agreed before booking
  • Specialist waste (asbestos, clinical, hazardous chemicals) which we sub-contract to a licensed handler
  • Out-of-hours work between 8pm and 7am, charged at 1.25× the standard rate

How you pay

  • Debit & credit card
  • Bank transfer
  • Cash on completion
  • Invoice, 14-day terms (contract clients)

Nothing is taken until the job is confirmed. Bookings under £500 need no deposit; larger removals and full house clearances are secured with a 20% deposit that comes off the final invoice.

Rate card FAQs

Questions about our national rates.

  • Are your rates the same across the UK?

Yes. We publish one national rate card and quote from it everywhere we work. The only additions are genuine, itemised costs such as congestion charge, ULEZ, parking permits or mileage beyond 15 miles from a crew base.

  • Is the quoted price fixed or an estimate?

Fixed. Your figure is confirmed in writing before the job starts and does not move unless you add work on the day.

  • Do you charge a call-out or booking fee?

Never. You pay for hours worked, the job agreed or the van load filled — nothing for turning up and nothing for paying by card.

  • How quickly can I get a written quote?

Most quotes come back the same day, and small handyman and clearance jobs usually within the hour once you have sent photos or a job list.

  • Do you price match?

We will always look at a written like-for-like quote. Compare the minimum charge, insurance, tip fees and whether materials are included before you decide — those are where cheaper headline rates usually recover the difference.
