How booking works

  1. Talk to us privately

Call 020 8124 1823 about clutter, rooms and access. If comfortable, email photos or video to info@helloservices.co.uk, excluding personal documents and other people. We listen without judgement.

  2. Agree the clean-up and quote

Agree retained items, sorting, cleaning, booked removals and reorganisation. Flag sharps, pests, contamination or unsafe access for separate assessment. Check the quote and exclusions; nothing is discarded without consent.

  3. A discreet, fully equipped team

We bring equipment and products for the agreed work, protect retained belongings, clean accessible surfaces and complete booked removals or reorganisation. Together we review the checklist and any specialist follow-up.

  • Clean doors, switches and agreed interior glass
  • Vacuum carpets; clean suitable floors and exposed spaces
  • No refurbishment or restoration

Extraction, upholstery, heavy furniture moving and exterior windows need separate agreement.

Benefits of a considerate hoarder clean-up

Reclaim usable space without pressure to discard valued belongings.

Reclaim usable rooms

Agreed sorting restores access to beds, seating and kitchen surfaces.

Clearer access

Fewer obstacles improve movement; serious fire risks need fire-service advice.

Reach covered surfaces

Decluttering exposes floors and fittings for intensive cleaning, rather than cleaning around piles.

Keep control

Keep-and-review categories protect possessions. Booked reorganisation supports daily use; it does not replace mental health care.

“A lovely team who worked well together. Friendly and professional. I’ve yet to closely inspect the finished work as I’m waiting for the carpets to dry fully. They look really clean and the cleaners went the extra mile to clean the hall rugs too. They did miss some of the skirting boards and door frame tops, but willingly attended to these when it was noted. The hourly rate per person worked out rather high at just under £30 (I’d expect a maximum of £20) which makes me less likely to use the service for future interim cleaning. But, if on close inspection, everything is as clean as it looks so far, I’m happy to recommend Hello Services for a one off deep clean.”

“The team were courteous, worked well and friendly. They did mention about regular cleans but unfortunately the price was extremely high. But the service you provided for the job in hand was fine. Thank you.”

Hoarder Cleaning in Harrogate: local guide

Harrogate’s converted villas and townhouses can involve several floors and shared stairs. Mention visitor permits or parking arrangements, then plan decluttering so possessions awaiting decisions stay inside your agreed space rather than moving into communal access.

01

Account for floors and neighbours

For cluttered house cleaning in a converted flat, describe the floor, shared entrance and stair route. Hoarder cleaners need a realistic unloading plan and somewhere agreed for belongings you are keeping. Discreet cleaning can respect your preference about neighbour conversations without making promises about invisibility in a shared building.

02

Do not assume downstairs collection

North Yorkshire Council’s bulky collection terms require items outside and easily accessible, not carried down from a flat by collectors. Check availability before relying on this household option. Hoarder house clearance involves only booked removals; commercial waste is excluded from that council service, so business disposal must be arranged separately.

03

Protect exits while sorting

During a hoarding clean-up, avoid using a landing as overflow storage. The fire service recommends clear escape routes and space around internal doors so they can close. Plan intensive cleaning and optional reorganisation around those routes, with retained books or clothing positioned away from heaters rather than stacked beside them.

Frequently asked questions

What access details matter for my flat?

Tell us your floor, entrance arrangements and any shared stairs. Explain parking or visitor permits, and identify a suitable place for equipment within your home.

Can possessions stay during thorough cleaning?

They can remain where safe access allows. Agree a retained belongings area within your flat, keeping shared routes separate from items awaiting your decisions.

Will the council take a damaged sofa?

Check acceptance when booking. The council’s upholstery guidance says damaged upholstered furniture must be sealed with tape or plastic and covered before collection is attempted.

Can bulky collection take fitted kitchen units?

The council exclusions include kitchen fittings and other fixtures. Keep these outside your furniture collection plan and ask about a suitable disposal route before removal.

Who offers advice beyond practical cleaning support?

The North Yorkshire fire service signposts Home Fire Safety Visits. Ask about your circumstances directly; our service does not provide treatment or replace fire advice.

What if only one room needs attention?

Explain your preferred starting room and any spaces to skip. Deep cleaning can be scoped around accessible areas without assuming the whole property needs emptying.
