How booking works

  1. Talk to us privately

Call 020 8124 1823 about clutter, rooms and access. If comfortable, email photos or video to info@helloservices.co.uk, excluding personal documents and other people. We listen without judgement.

  2. Agree the clean-up and quote

Agree retained items, sorting, cleaning, booked removals and reorganisation. Flag sharps, pests, contamination or unsafe access for separate assessment. Check the quote and exclusions; nothing is discarded without consent.

  3. A discreet, fully equipped team

We bring equipment and products for the agreed work, protect retained belongings, clean accessible surfaces and complete booked removals or reorganisation. Together we review the checklist and any specialist follow-up.

  • Clean doors, switches and agreed interior glass
  • Vacuum carpets; clean suitable floors and exposed spaces
  • No refurbishment or restoration

Extraction, upholstery, heavy furniture moving and exterior windows need separate agreement.

Benefits of a considerate hoarder clean-up

Reclaim usable space without pressure to discard valued belongings.

Reclaim usable rooms

Agreed sorting restores access to beds, seating and kitchen surfaces.

Clearer access

Fewer obstacles improve movement; serious fire risks need fire-service advice.

Reach covered surfaces

Decluttering exposes floors and fittings for intensive cleaning, rather than cleaning around piles.

Keep control

Keep-and-review categories protect possessions. Booked reorganisation supports daily use; it does not replace mental health care.

“A lovely team who worked well together. Friendly and professional. I’ve yet to closely inspect the finished work as I’m waiting for the carpets to dry fully. They look really clean and the cleaners went the extra mile to clean the hall rugs too. They did miss some of the skirting boards and door frame tops, but willingly attended to these when it was noted. The hourly rate per person worked out rather high at just under £30 (I’d expect a maximum of £20) which makes me less likely to use the service for future interim cleaning. But, if on close inspection, everything is as clean as it looks so far, I’m happy to recommend Hello Services for a one off deep clean.”

“The team were courteous, worked well and friendly. They did mention about regular cleans but unfortunately the price was extremely high. But the service you provided for the job in hand was fine. Thank you.”

Hoarder Cleaning in Ripon: local guide

Around Ripon’s market square, discuss parking before planning removals; for rural HG4 homes, mention gates and long drives. Check your address with North Yorkshire Council before relying on its collection services.

01

Plan access around possessions

For decluttering in a market-square townhouse, identify a place for retained possessions that does not obstruct movement between rooms. In a village cottage, explain any gates, pets or long approach. Cluttered house cleaning should be planned around these access details, rather than assuming unwanted furniture can simply be carried straight outside.

02

Separate furniture from bagged rubbish

When planning hoarding clean-up, separate unwanted furniture from general rubbish. The council’s bulky waste guidance excludes bags of household waste and requires booked items outside, accessible and nearest the main road. Discuss the proposed collection point before moving anything. Our assessed removals need separate agreement; household collection is not a commercial disposal route.

03

Keep routes usable

During room-by-room sorting, avoid relocating piles into hallways. North Yorkshire fire safety advice recommends clear escape routes and space around internal doors so they can close. Plan intensive cleaning around usable routes and retained belongings; fire safety advice remains separate from the cleaning service.

Frequently asked questions

What should I share about rural access?

For discreet cleaning, describe the driveway, gate arrangements and where pets will stay. Tell us which entrance provides access without disturbing possessions you are keeping.

Can treasured paperwork stay untouched?

Yes. Before practical cleaning help begins, identify documents, photographs and collections to retain. Agree a clearly marked holding area rather than mixing them with removals.

Will the council take every large item?

No. Bulky waste restrictions exclude pianos, radiators and hazardous waste. Confirm the items and address with the council rather than assuming a collection is available.

What about needles found during sorting?

Stop sorting that area and seek appropriate disposal advice. The recycling centre acceptance list says needles and clinical waste are not accepted at these sites.

Can I ask for help with fire concerns?

The fire service’s hoarding page links to Home Fire Safety Visits. Ask about advice for your home; our thorough cleaning does not replace that assessment.

Does house clearance mean removing everything?

No. Hoarder house clearance means only removals assessed and booked with you. Retained furniture and excluded rooms should be recorded before any work begins.
