Cleaning, moving, handyman & clearance in Buckinghamshire

Buckinghamshire is not one council area but two. Buckinghamshire Council, a single unitary authority formed in 2020, runs Aylesbury, High Wycombe, Chesham, Amersham, Beaconsfield, Marlow, Buckingham, the Chalfonts, Burnham and the majority of the county's towns; Milton Keynes City Council, a separate unitary authority with no administrative connection to it, runs Milton Keynes itself along with Bletchley, Newport Pagnell, Olney and Woburn Sands. That split decides which household recycling centre you can book, which permit a van needs, and how a bulky-waste collection is arranged, so we route every job by council rather than by the word "Buckinghamshire" on an address.

Hello Services cleaning team standing with their branded van, extraction machine and colour-coded cleaning kit

End of tenancy, deep cleans, carpets and ovens — for tenants, landlords and busy households.

End-of-tenancy, deep and regular cleaning across Milton Keynes's rental-heavy apartment blocks and the older period stock of Aylesbury, High Wycombe and the Chilterns towns, priced against the property with a 24-hour re-clean guarantee.

Hello Services removals crew standing at the tail lift of a loaded Luton van on a house removal job

Man with a van and full house removals, local or long distance, with no hidden mileage charges.

House removals, man with a van and office moves across the county, quoted on volume and access — including Milton Keynes's grid-road and parking-court layout and the narrow Chiltern lanes around Chesham and Great Missenden.

Hello Services handymen in branded orange uniform assembling flat-pack furniture while a colleague mounts a TV on the wall

Flat-pack and furniture assembly, TV mounting, shelving and the small repairs that stack up.

Flat-pack and furniture assembly, TV mounting, shelving and small repairs, with fixings chosen for the wall — timber-frame and plasterboard in Milton Keynes's estates, solid brick or lime plaster in Aylesbury and High Wycombe, lath and plaster in the Chilterns cottages.

Hello Services clearance van with the ramp down as two crew members load bagged and sorted waste for recycling

Licensed rubbish removal, house and garage clearances, with a waste transfer note supplied.

Licensed house, flat, garage and garden clearance with a waste transfer note for every load, tipped at commercial transfer stations because neither Buckinghamshire Council's nor Milton Keynes City Council's recycling centres take contractor waste.

Working across Buckinghamshire

The two halves of the county look different on the ground as well as on paper. Milton Keynes was built from 1967 onward to a one-kilometre grid of numbered dual carriageways, with estates served by cul-de-sacs and shared parking courts and a separate redway network for pedestrians and cyclists that no vehicle can use as a shortcut — a genuinely planned city, and a genuinely different removals and clearance problem from anywhere else in the county. South of it, Aylesbury and High Wycombe carry historic market cores — the Clock Tower and Market Square in Aylesbury, the valley floor around Wycombe's centre — ringed by post-war and modern estates, while the Chiltern Hills towns of Chesham, Amersham, Great Missenden and Stokenchurch sit in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty of steep, narrow lanes that were never built for a large removal vehicle.

We cover thirty Buckinghamshire settlements: Milton Keynes, Aylesbury, High Wycombe and Bletchley; Chesham, Hazlemere, Amersham, Newport Pagnell, Marlow, Buckingham, Beaconsfield, Chalfont St Peter and Flackwell Heath; and Wendover, Gerrards Cross, Great Missenden, Princes Risborough, Bourne End, Farnham Common, Olney, Little Chalfont, Haddenham, Aston Clinton, Winslow, Iver Heath, Chalfont St Giles, Stokenchurch, Woburn Sands, Pitstone and Burnham. Between them these span MK, HP, SL and, at Pitstone, LU7 postcodes. Burnham addresses read SL1 to SL3 and its built-up edge runs into Slough, but the town itself is a Buckinghamshire Council parish, not a Berkshire one, and we cover it on that basis.

One boundary point worth stating plainly: no part of Buckinghamshire lies inside the London Ultra Low Emission Zone. Iver Heath and the Chalfont villages sit close to the Greater London boundary without being inside it. A job that continues into a London borough does enter the zone on that leg, so we allocate the vehicle against the destination and show any charge in the quote rather than adding it afterwards.

Common questions

Buckinghamshire questions, answered.

  • Is Buckinghamshire one council or two?

Two. Buckinghamshire Council is a unitary authority covering Aylesbury, High Wycombe, Chesham, Amersham, Beaconsfield, Marlow, Buckingham, the Chalfonts, Burnham and most other towns in the county. Milton Keynes City Council is a separate unitary authority covering Milton Keynes, Bletchley, Newport Pagnell, Olney and Woburn Sands. Waste, HWRC booking, permits and parking rules are set separately by each and are not interchangeable.

  • Which council covers my Buckinghamshire address?

Milton Keynes City Council if you are in Milton Keynes, Bletchley, Newport Pagnell, Olney or Woburn Sands; Buckinghamshire Council for every other town we cover, including Aylesbury, High Wycombe, Chesham, Amersham, Buckingham and Burnham. Buckingham carries an MK postcode despite sitting in Buckinghamshire Council, and Burnham carries an SL postcode despite being a Buckinghamshire Council parish, so the postcode prefix is not a reliable guide on its own.

  • Can you take my waste to a Buckinghamshire recycling centre?

No, and neither can any other contractor. Milton Keynes City Council's centres at Bleak Hall and Wolverton, and Buckinghamshire Council's centres including Griffin Lane in Aylesbury, Latimer Road in Chesham and London Road East in Amersham, take household waste from residents on a booked slot, not waste carried by a contractor on a resident's behalf. Our clearance loads go to licensed commercial transfer stations, with a waste transfer note for you to keep.

  • Is any part of Buckinghamshire inside the London ULEZ?

No. Iver Heath and the Chalfonts sit close to the Greater London boundary but outside it, so no town we cover here is charged. If a job continues into a London borough, that leg enters the zone and we allocate a compliant vehicle and show the charge in the quote.

  • Which Buckinghamshire towns do you cover?

Thirty: Milton Keynes, Aylesbury, High Wycombe, Bletchley, Chesham, Hazlemere, Amersham, Newport Pagnell, Marlow, Buckingham, Beaconsfield, Chalfont St Peter, Flackwell Heath, Wendover, Gerrards Cross, Great Missenden, Princes Risborough, Bourne End, Farnham Common, Olney, Little Chalfont, Haddenham, Aston Clinton, Winslow, Iver Heath, Chalfont St Giles, Stokenchurch, Woburn Sands, Pitstone and Burnham — across MK, HP, SL and LU7 postcodes.

  • How do you price work in Buckinghamshire?

Against the property and its access, in writing, before we start. Removals are priced on volume, carry distance, floors and lifts; clearance on van volume plus anything handled separately; cleaning on room count and condition; handyman work on the job and the wall it goes into. The figure holds unless what we find is materially different from what you described.

  • Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We hold waste carrier registration for clearance work and carry public liability and goods-in-transit cover across every division. Certificates are available on request — managed apartment blocks in central Milton Keynes and around Aylesbury and High Wycombe routinely ask for them before contractors are let in.

Overall they were very thorough, took their time to make sure that everything was clean as needed.… Read in full →
