Clearance & Disposal in Buckinghamshire

A clearance is priced on what actually goes into the van and how far it has to be carried to get there, so we ask for photographs of the whole space rather than the worst corner of it, and put a fixed figure in writing that covers labour, loading, transport and disposal. Items that cost more to dispose of than to carry — fridges, freezers, mattresses, tyres, paint and other hazardous items — are named separately in the quote rather than appearing as an add-on afterwards.

We are a registered waste carrier, and every load leaves with a waste transfer note, which matters because fly-tipped waste is traced back to whoever handed it over. Buckinghamshire's two councils — Buckinghamshire Council and Milton Keynes City Council — each run their own household waste recycling centres, and both restrict them to residents' own waste with a booked slot, not waste carried on a resident's behalf by a contractor. Our loads go to licensed commercial transfer stations instead, and where furniture or household goods are genuinely reusable we can divert them to a charity or re-use outlet on request.

Where our Buckinghamshire clearance cover is strongest

Milton Keynes and Bletchley take the most clearance work in the county, from grid-square houses with integral garages to redeveloped apartment blocks; Aylesbury and High Wycombe follow, each with a historic centre that has no off-street loading and a ring of newer estates that do.

Chesham, Amersham, Hazlemere, Newport Pagnell, Marlow, Buckingham, Beaconsfield, the Chalfonts, Flackwell Heath, Wendover, Gerrards Cross, Great Missenden, Princes Risborough, Bourne End, Farnham Common, Olney, Little Chalfont, Haddenham, Aston Clinton, Winslow, Iver Heath, Stokenchurch, Woburn Sands, Burnham and Pitstone are covered on the same terms, including garden clearance and single-item collections.

Two councils, two permit schemes, and neither one takes a contractor's load

Milton Keynes City Council runs household waste recycling centres at Bleak Hall and Wolverton for Milton Keynes, Bletchley, Newport Pagnell, Olney and Woburn Sands; every other town in the county — Aylesbury, High Wycombe, Chesham, Amersham, Beaconsfield, Marlow, Buckingham, the Chalfonts and the rest — falls under Buckinghamshire Council, whose recycling centres include Griffin Lane in Aylesbury, Latimer Road in Chesham and London Road East in Amersham. Both councils require a booked online slot for every visit, and a separate registered permit for a van, pickup or trailer. Burnham is a Buckinghamshire Council parish and is not served by Slough's Chalvey site, even though its built-up edge runs into Slough.

Neither council's sites will accept a load carried on a resident's behalf by a contractor, which is why our clearances go to licensed commercial transfer stations and come back with a transfer note rather than a council receipt. If you are clearing a small amount yourself, use your own council's centre and its own booking and permit rules — Bucks and MK rules are not interchangeable, so check which one applies to your address before booking a slot.

Common questions

Clearance & Disposal in Buckinghamshire, answered.

  • How is a Buckinghamshire house clearance priced?

On the volume that goes into the van and the carry out of the property, agreed in writing before we start. Send photographs of every room, including the loft, garage and garden, and we price the whole job rather than adding to it on the day.

  • Can you take my waste to the local recycling centre?

No. Both Milton Keynes City Council's and Buckinghamshire Council's household waste sites take residents' own waste on a booked slot, not waste carried by a contractor. Our loads go to licensed commercial transfer stations instead, with a transfer note for every load.

  • Which council's recycling rules apply to my town?

Milton Keynes City Council covers Milton Keynes, Bletchley, Newport Pagnell, Olney and Woburn Sands; Buckinghamshire Council covers every other town in this list, including Aylesbury, High Wycombe, Chesham, Amersham, Buckingham and Burnham. The two schemes are separate and we never assume one applies where the other does.

  • Do you provide a waste transfer note?

Yes, with every load, because we are a registered waste carrier. It is your evidence that the waste left with a licensed carrier, which matters because responsibility for fly-tipped waste follows back to whoever handed it over.

  • Do you handle probate and end-of-life clearances?

Yes, worked at a careful pace. We set aside documents, photographs and anything personal for the family to check before it is moved on, and can clear in stages against a sale or re-letting deadline.

  • Can you clear a garden or a garage only?

Yes. Garden clearance, garage and loft clear-outs and single-item collections are all normal bookings, priced on volume, and we will say honestly if a skip would be cheaper for your particular job.

  • What about fridges, mattresses and paint?

We take them. Their disposal is separately regulated and separately charged, so tell us what you have when you ask for a quote and the figures appear in writing rather than on the day.

Very professional team, despite having to wait 2 hours whilst we got keys they then cleaned the house from top to bottom. Everything sparkled. Would certainly recommend to anyone looking for your new house to be cleaned.
