IKEA and flat-pack furniture assembly in London Fields, E8

A wardrobe is only as safe as its restraint. In London Fields (Hackney) that restraint lands in precast concrete panels and dense blockwork, often with surface-run conduit — get it wrong and a loaded unit walks forward on the carpet.

E8
  • From £35 an item, £190 a half day — priced per unit, fixed in writing
  • precast concrete panels and dense blockwork, often with surface-run conduit here, so the anti-tip strap goes into something structural
  • Deck access or a single lift shared with every other flat, so we book a delivery window
  • London Borough of Hackney permits, ULEZ and packaging removal already inside the price

How it works

How a London Fields assembly visit works

  1. Send the list, get a fixed pricePhotograph the delivery stack and the room it is going in. We size the slot for London Fields, confirm the access route and put the whole figure in writing the same working day.
  2. Access sorted for E8Market-day closures on Saturdays, modal filters and no off-street parking. We confirm the carry route for two-metre panels and reserve the kerb so the boxes move once.
  3. Built, anchored, packaging goneDust sheets down, every unit built and squared, doors and drawers adjusted, an SDS-drilled hole and a screwbolt, set clear of scanned reinforcement and buried cable, then the cardboard flattened and taken away.

Walls and anchoring

What holds an anti-tip strap in London Fields

The furniture is the same everywhere. The wall behind it is not, and that is what decides whether a loaded wardrobe stays upright in London Fields E8.

  • 33% of London Fields households are one-person, which is where single-visit builds — one wardrobe, one bed, one desk — outnumber whole-flat days.

  • London Fields (Overground) is the nearest station, and London Borough of Hackney controls the kerb outside, so the permit is bought before the van leaves rather than argued about on arrival.

  • 4,593 households sit inside the ONS neighbourhood covering London Fields, and 81% of them are flats — which is why deck access or a single lift shared with every other flat decides the slot length more often than the furniture does.

Why Hello Services

Why book assembly in London Fields with us

Independent of every retailer

We build any brand's flat-pack, so the advice you get is about your furniture, not a shop's upsell.

Anchored, not just assembled

Every tall unit in London Fields is strapped using an SDS-drilled hole and a screwbolt, set clear of scanned reinforcement and buried cable — and load-tested before we leave.

Priced per item, not per hour

Your E8 list is quoted per unit in writing the same working day, with no doorstep re-quote.

We scan before we drill

Cable and pipe detector on every wall, because drilling blind into a panel with reinforcement or a cable behind it is the callback nobody wants.

Parking and permits
Market-day closures on Saturdays, modal filters and no off-street parking. London Borough of Hackney visitor permits and bay suspensions are arranged and paid for by us, so long boxes are carried once, not twice.
Charging zones
Hackney sits outside the Congestion Charge zone and inside ULEZ. Our vans are ULEZ compliant and that cost is never added to a E8 invoice.
Access and lifts
81% of homes around London Fields are flats, so goods-lift booking and stair carries are planned before the slot rather than discovered on the day.
Packaging removal
Flattened cardboard, polystyrene and strapping leave in the van at the end of every E8 visit, at no extra charge.

Wall plugs, through-fixings, resin anchors, hollow-wall anchors and anti-tip straps come out of the van and are inside the price. Replacement dowels, cam locks and manufacturer spare parts are ordered at cost with the receipt attached to your invoice.

Scope

What is included in London Fields

Every London Fields E8 booking includes the left-hand list. The right is work that belongs to a registered trade or a separate booking — we say so before you book, not on the day.

Included in every visit

  • Every unit on your London Fields list built, squared and levelled to the floor in the room it belongs in
  • Anti-tip anchoring where the item needs it: an SDS-drilled hole and a screwbolt, set clear of scanned reinforcement and buried cable
  • Doors, hinges, drawer runners and sliding tracks adjusted so nothing drifts or catches
  • A stud, pipe and cable scan before any fixing goes into a wall
  • London Borough of Hackney permits or bay suspensions where E8 needs one
  • Flattened cardboard, polystyrene and strapping taken away in the van

Not included — and why

  • New electrical circuits, consumer-unit work or anything notifiable under Part P — that belongs to a registered electrician
  • Gas appliance connection, including hobs and cookers, which is Gas Safe work
  • Plumbing in a sink, tap or integrated appliance as part of a kitchen run (we can book that separately)
  • Manufacturer spare parts — missing dowels, cam locks or damaged panels are ordered at cost with the receipt
  • Cutting into a structural wall or altering an opening to make a unit fit
