How booking works

  1. Talk to us privately

Call 020 8124 1823 about clutter, rooms and access. If comfortable, email photos or video to info@helloservices.co.uk, excluding personal documents and other people. We listen without judgement.

  2. Agree the clean-up and quote

Agree retained items, sorting, cleaning, booked removals and reorganisation. Flag sharps, pests, contamination or unsafe access for separate assessment. Check the quote and exclusions; nothing is discarded without consent.

  3. A discreet, fully equipped team

We bring equipment and products for the agreed work, protect retained belongings, clean accessible surfaces and complete booked removals or reorganisation. Together we review the checklist and any specialist follow-up.

Benefits of a considerate hoarder clean-up

Reclaim usable space without pressure to discard valued belongings.

Reclaim usable rooms

Agreed sorting restores access to beds, seating and kitchen surfaces.

Clearer access

Fewer obstacles improve movement; serious fire risks need fire-service advice.

Reach covered surfaces

Decluttering exposes floors and fittings for intensive cleaning, rather than cleaning around piles.

Keep control

Keep-and-review categories protect possessions. Booked reorganisation supports daily use; it does not replace mental health care.

“A lovely team who worked well together. Friendly and professional. I’ve yet to closely inspect the finished work as I’m waiting for the carpets to dry fully. They look really clean and the cleaners went the extra mile to clean the hall rugs too. They did miss some of the skirting boards and door frame tops, but willingly attended to these when it was noted. The hourly rate per person worked out rather high at just under £30 (I’d expect a maximum of £20) which makes me less likely to use the service for future interim cleaning. But, if on close inspection, everything is as clean as it looks so far, I’m happy to recommend Hello Services for a one off deep clean.”

“The team were courteous, worked well and friendly. They did mention about regular cleans but unfortunately the price was extremely high. But the service you provided for the job in hand was fine. Thank you.”

Hoarder Cleaning in Scarborough: local guide

Scarborough’s converted seafront townhouses can involve steep shared stairs, while parking near the bays becomes busy in summer. Describe your floor, entrance and parking options before deciding how retained belongings and agreed removals will move.

01

Protect shared access

In a converted flat, plan decluttering inside your own rooms rather than using a communal landing for temporary storage. Identify fragile keepsakes before anything travels downstairs. Cluttered flat cleaning needs a clear account of shared stairs and entrances; tell us which rooms must remain private and where retained possessions can safely stay.

02

Check furniture collection arrangements

A hoarding clean-up may reveal furniture needing a separate disposal plan. North Yorkshire Council’s bulky collection rules require items outside, not indoors or obstructed by vehicles. They also require damaged upholstered furniture to be sealed and covered. Check address availability and presentation requirements before carrying a sofa down shared stairs.

03

Keep belongings away from heat

For intensive cleaning, identify piles near heaters before choosing a holding space for belongings. Fire service guidance advises keeping flammable materials away from heat sources and leaving escape routes clear. Possessions sorting should not transfer a bedroom obstruction into the route through your front door.

Frequently asked questions

What access details help with a seafront flat?

When arranging discreet cleaning, explain the floor level, shared stair layout and parking constraints. Flag any furniture that cannot readily pass through your entrance.

Can I keep a collection together?

Yes. For practical cleaning help, nominate a safe place for each collection and explain its grouping, so retained items are not scattered between rooms.

Can rubbish bags join a bulky collection?

No. The council’s excluded items include bags of household waste and commercial waste. Keep these separate from furniture when discussing assessed removals and disposal arrangements.

Where can I check recycling options?

Use the council’s waste directory to find recycling centre information and accepted materials. Check current arrangements before loading anything; cleaning does not establish disposal eligibility.

Is there separate home fire safety advice?

The North Yorkshire fire service offers a Home Fire Safety Visit request route. Contact it about concerns; thorough cleaning is not a fire safety assessment.

Are website examples Scarborough hoarder jobs?

No. Any completed deep cleaning examples are comparisons only, not evidence of local hoarder jobs. Your house clearance planning depends on an individual assessment.
