What to Have Ready Before You Submit

For the most accurate quote, upload photos or videos of the carpets, rugs or upholstery you want cleaned — if you don't have images now, you can send them later and we'll follow up by email or WhatsApp. Guide prices start from £30 for a staircase or medium rug, £35 for a single bedroom, £40 for a lounge, dining room or hallway, and £45 for a through lounge; final pricing depends on room size and fabric condition.

What Happens After You Submit

We confirm your fixed price and available slots once we've reviewed your rooms and any photos. On the day, please clear small items, electronic wires and delicate ornaments from the treatment area — heavy furniture like wardrobes or bed frames can stay in place, as the technician will work around it. Afterwards, avoid heavy foot traffic until carpets are fully dry, and let us know within a few days if any area needs a second pass.

Pricing is per area rather than per hour, because that is what you can compare. A three or four room booking is nearly always cheaper per room than the same rooms booked separately, since the machine is already set up and hoses are already run.

The two things that move a price off the guide figure are fibre and condition. Wool and wool-mix carpets need a lower temperature and a gentler detergent, which takes longer. Heavy soiling in a hallway, pet accidents that have reached the underlay, or old stains that have already been scrubbed with a supermarket spot remover all need a pre-treatment dwell time before extraction, and that is quoted in rather than sprung on you on the day.

What comes out, and what honestly does not

Traffic-lane greying, general soiling, food and drink spills, mud, pet hair and most odour sources respond very well to extraction. Wine, tea and coffee usually lift fully if they have not been bleached by sunlight. Pet urine needs an enzyme treatment first and, where it has soaked through, treatment of the underlay too — otherwise the smell returns as soon as the carpet warms up.

Bleach marks, dye transfer from rubber-backed mats, sun fade and burns are damage rather than dirt: the fibre has changed colour or melted, so cleaning will not restore it. We will tell you that when we look at your photos rather than take the booking and disappoint you. In those cases a patch repair or a rug placed over the area is the realistic answer.

Before and after your appointment

Clear small items, cables and delicate ornaments from the rooms being treated. Heavy furniture such as wardrobes and bed frames can stay where it is — the technician works around it and cleans the exposed carpet up to the edge. Sofas being cleaned should be emptied of cushions and any loose covers you want done separately.

Carpets are normally dry in four to six hours. Opening windows or running a fan cuts that considerably; a dense wool pile in a cold, closed room takes longer. Keep foot traffic light until dry, and walk on the carpet in clean socks rather than outdoor shoes for the first day. If any area looks like it needs a second pass once it has dried, tell us within a few days and we will come back to it.
