Roof terraces and no outdoor water
New-build blocks around Nine Elms, Canary Wharf and the Greenwich Peninsula often give residents a roof terrace or balcony with no tap and no drain. We bring our own water supply and a containment sheet so nothing runs onto a neighbour's terrace below.
Lease terms in these blocks sometimes restrict what can be stored on a balcony, including gas bottles — we work around whatever the building allows rather than assuming.
