Cleaning, moving, handyman & clearance in Eastbourne

A planned Victorian resort under the western end of the South Downs, with a grid of wide seafront avenues, a large purpose-built retirement-flat stock, and post-war and 1990s estates spreading inland to Hampden Park and Sovereign Harbour. Fixed prices are confirmed before we arrive, and every crew working BN20 is insured to £1m.

Wide avenues that load easily, and managed retirement blocks where the lift booking matters more than the van size.

Eastbourne in practice

Eastbourne is a much easier town to load than Brighton and a much more procedural one. The planned Victorian grid gives wide avenues in Meads, Upperton and along the seafront where a Luton can usually stop legally within a few metres of the door, and the interwar and post-war housing at Old Town, Hampden Park and Langney has drives and side gates. What slows a job here is rarely the street — it is the building's own rules.

The purpose-built retirement blocks across BN21 and BN22 are a large part of our Eastbourne work and they run on management-company terms: notice in advance, a booked lift, blankets or boards protecting communal carpets, a finish time, and often a request for our insurance certificates before the crew is let past reception. We arrange all of that with the managing agent before the day, and we send the same team back where a block prefers a known contractor. Sovereign Harbour in BN23 has its own version of this — gated courts, allocated bays and height barriers that decide which vehicle can come in at all.

Exterior work is a bigger share of the Eastbourne list than anywhere else we cover in the county. Salt off the Channel greys render, patios, decking and uPVC on exposed south-facing frontages faster than a few miles inland, and it comes back — so we are honest about how long a wash will look good rather than selling a permanent fix. East Sussex County Council's household site on Hammonds Drive runs on the residents-only permit scheme with a separate van and trailer permit; anything we carry away goes to a licensed transfer station instead, with the transfer note handed to you.

Eastbourne at a glance

Housing stock
Substantial Victorian and Edwardian villas in Meads and Upperton, many now flats; interwar semis at Old Town and Hampden Park; purpose-built retirement blocks with lifts across BN21 and BN22; and 1990s marina housing at Sovereign Harbour in BN23
Access on the day
The seafront and Meads streets are wide and mostly loadable, which makes Eastbourne easier than Brighton, but the retirement blocks have their own rules: booked lift use, protective blankets in communal areas, and porters who will refuse an unannounced arrival. Sovereign Harbour has gated parking and height barriers on several courts. East Sussex County Council runs the household waste site on Hammonds Drive under its residents-only permit scheme, with a separate permit required for a van or trailer.

Jose and his wife (I'm sorry I don't know her name!) were really fantastic. They transformed my flat which hasn't been cleaned properly for years. Things are clean that I thought could never be clean again! It's wonderful. Thank you.
