How booking works

  1. Talk to us privately

Call 020 8124 1823 about clutter, rooms and access. If comfortable, email photos or video to info@helloservices.co.uk, excluding personal documents and other people. We listen without judgement.

  2. Agree the clean-up and quote

Agree retained items, sorting, cleaning, booked removals and reorganisation. Flag sharps, pests, contamination or unsafe access for separate assessment. Check the quote and exclusions; nothing is discarded without consent.

  3. A discreet, fully equipped team

We bring equipment and products for the agreed work, protect retained belongings, clean accessible surfaces and complete booked removals or reorganisation. Together we review the checklist and any specialist follow-up.

What's included

Assessed, quoted tasks only. Separately book decluttering, removals and reorganisation. You control your belongings.

Assessment, consent and access

  • Agree resident or authorised decision-maker priorities
  • Protect valuables, fragile possessions and documents
  • Agree keep, review, donate, recycle and removal categories
  • Assess unstable piles; keep walking routes clear

Unsafe structures, sharps, pests and contamination need specialist assessment.

Decluttering — when booked

  • Sort agreed cupboards, shelves and floor clutter with consent
  • Protect sentimental items, identification, medication and paperwork
  • Set uncertain items aside for your decision
  • Label bags; place kept items where agreed

Kitchens and bathrooms

  • Degrease accessible worktops, sinks, splashbacks and cupboard fronts
  • Clean emptied cupboards and drawers when agreed
  • Clean toilets, basins, baths, showers and accessible limescale
  • Wipe handles, switches and tiles; clean suitable floors

Oven, fridge, freezer, washer and hob interiors only when booked. No mould treatment or guaranteed stain removal.

Bedrooms, living rooms and hallways

  • Wipe accessible furniture, shelves, skirting and radiators
  • Clean doors, switches and agreed interior glass
  • Vacuum carpets; clean suitable floors and exposed spaces
  • No refurbishment or restoration

Extraction, upholstery, heavy furniture moving and exterior windows need separate agreement.

Item removals — when booked

  • Confirm approved bags, furniture and bulky items
  • Separate kept belongings before loading
  • Agree volume, disposal arrangements, access and charges
  • Separate electrical items, chemicals and special waste

Hazardous waste needs separate assessment.

Reorganisation — when booked

  • Return kept possessions to agreed locations
  • Arrange storage without blocking doors or heat sources
  • Maintain access to beds, seating and facilities
  • Review work, outstanding decisions and maintenance priorities

Practical support, not treatment or guaranteed prevention.

Benefits of a considerate hoarder clean-up

Reclaim usable space without pressure to discard valued belongings.

Reclaim usable rooms

Agreed sorting restores access to beds, seating and kitchen surfaces.

Clearer access

Fewer obstacles improve movement; serious fire risks need fire-service advice.

Reach covered surfaces

Decluttering exposes floors and fittings for intensive cleaning, rather than cleaning around piles.

Keep control

Keep-and-review categories protect possessions. Booked reorganisation supports daily use; it does not replace mental health care.

What customers say about Erik

  • ★★★★★Trustpilot
A BIG shout out to Erik & Tina @ Hello Services
“A BIG shout out to Erik & Tina who cleaned my brother's flat for me today. They did an absolutely fantastic job. My brother has been ill recently and struggling to stay on top of his housework so a deep clean was required. Erik and Tina came along, worked really hard and completed in an afternoon what might have taken me at least 3 days to complete, plus they had industrial cleaning equipment to get the job done properly. My Bro comes out of hospital tomorrow and I know he will be blown away at what he sees. So thank you Erik & Tina and I will certainly book you again in the future. (BTW - I don't know how you did it but all the taps at every sink were sparkling)”

Easy to organise and job well done
“Erik & Tina were prompt, efficient and polite, and the house is now clean and ready for its new tenants. The process of booking was smooth, even though I needed the job done at short notice.”

Cleaning in Greater Manchester: local guide

01

Different addresses, different disposal arrangements

For a hoarding clean-up, establish the council responsible for your address first; Manchester guidance should not be treated as county-wide permission. Manchester's collection instructions exclude collection from inside homes, driveways and bin stores. By contrast, Wigan's instructions specify clearly identifiable items on the front driveway or garden. Agree the correct presentation point before moving furniture. Household collection arrangements are separate from any booked removals by our cleaners.

02

Apartment access without losing important belongings

For cluttered house cleaning in Manchester City Centre or Salford apartments, discuss lift access and parking before deciding where sorted belongings can wait. Keep keys, tenancy papers and everyday clothing together in a clearly marked retained area. Discreet cleaning can be planned around who needs access information, without sharing personal circumstances unnecessarily. Manchester's guidance suggests a caretaker or building manager may help residents of managed buildings move collection items.

03

Stairs, family possessions and furniture decisions

In Bolton or Horwich terraces and semi-detached homes, discuss stairs and the route between rooms when planning decluttering. For a Stockport, Cheadle or Bramhall home being prepared for sale, separate possessions going with you from anything proposed for removal. Intensive cleaning need not mean emptying every cupboard. Any hoarder house clearance is limited to assessed, booked removals. Check individual items: Manchester's exclusions include large mirrors, whereas Trafford's list includes mirrors.

04

Recycling and keeping routes usable

During thorough cleaning, avoid turning a hallway into temporary storage; choose a retained possessions area away from exits. For household waste sorting, Trafford's bin guidance says bags beside bins will not be collected. Its household bulky service is distinct from commercial enquiries, so do not assume it covers contractor waste. For separate fire safety advice, the fire service's Trafford page provides a home safety enquiry number.

Frequently asked questions

Which council rules apply to my home?

Check your full address with the council before booking disposal. Our regional page does not establish borough membership. Manchester's household collection rules apply to that service, not automatically to every Greater Manchester address.

Can council crews empty my apartment?

Do not plan on that: Manchester's service cannot collect inside your property or from bin stores. Discuss the route with your building manager and keep apartment cleaning separate from arranging movement to the collection point.

What if I find chemicals amongst clutter?

Leave uncertain containers undisturbed and flag them before cleaning. Trafford's bulky collection exclusions include chemicals, hazardous materials and clinical waste. Our practical cleaning help does not include specialist biohazard work; ask the council about appropriate disposal.

Can extra bags go beside Trafford bins?

No: Trafford's bin instructions say bags left beside bins will not be collected. Plan an appropriate household disposal route before sorting produces overflow, and do not assume household facilities accept waste removed commercially.

How should I arrange private removals in Wigan?

For separately arranged furniture removal, Wigan advises checking the collector's waste carriers licence, obtaining a receipt identifying the waste and destination, and noting the vehicle registration. Confirm these details rather than relying on verbal assurances.

Where can I ask about fire safety?

The Trafford fire service page gives 0161 609 0210 for home or business fire safety enquiries. This is separate from our cleaning service. In an emergency, call 999 rather than contacting a local station.
