How booking works

  1. Talk to us privately

Call 020 8124 1823 about clutter, rooms and access. If comfortable, email photos or video to info@helloservices.co.uk, excluding personal documents and other people. We listen without judgement.

  2. Agree the clean-up and quote

Agree retained items, sorting, cleaning, booked removals and reorganisation. Flag sharps, pests, contamination or unsafe access for separate assessment. Check the quote and exclusions; nothing is discarded without consent.

  3. A discreet, fully equipped team

We bring equipment and products for the agreed work, protect retained belongings, clean accessible surfaces and complete booked removals or reorganisation. Together we review the checklist and any specialist follow-up.

What's included

Assessed, quoted tasks only. Separately book decluttering, removals and reorganisation. You control your belongings.

  • Protect sentimental items, identification, medication and paperwork

  • Wipe accessible furniture, shelves, skirting and radiators
  • Clean doors, switches and agreed interior glass
  • Vacuum carpets; clean suitable floors and exposed spaces
  • No refurbishment or restoration

Extraction, upholstery, heavy furniture moving and exterior windows need separate agreement.

Item removals — when booked

  • Agree volume, disposal arrangements, access and charges
  • Separate electrical items, chemicals and special waste

Hazardous waste needs separate assessment.

Practical support, not treatment or guaranteed prevention.

Benefits of a considerate hoarder clean-up

Reclaim usable space without pressure to discard valued belongings.

Reclaim usable rooms

Agreed sorting restores access to beds, seating and kitchen surfaces.

Clearer access

Fewer obstacles improve movement; serious fire risks need fire-service advice.

Reach covered surfaces

Decluttering exposes floors and fittings for intensive cleaning, rather than cleaning around piles.

Keep control

Keep-and-review categories protect possessions. Booked reorganisation supports daily use; it does not replace mental health care.

“The two young men were lovely very friendly and nice to mum. However they were over an hour late. They did a very nice job on the flat but it only took them two hours possibly because we were not made aware that every single thing to be cleaned had to be listed. To me a deep clean means pretty much everything. Although we were pleased, we feel that amount of money for two hours times two men is very expensive. I know the price is per job but if you work out the hourly rate it’s very high.”

“Excellent deep cleaning service from Amar and Yusuf. Arrived on time at very short notice and performed a thorough clean of our new house after was left very grimey and uncared for. Did brilliantly with all appliances, blinds, and bathrooms. Carpets are almost a brand new colour. They worked all day through it and were extremely friendly before and after the cleaning. Extremely satisfied.”

Cleaning in Cumbria: local guide

01

Check the council before planning removals

Cumbria is the regional service label, not confirmation that one council's rules apply everywhere. Cumberland's recycling information names Allerdale, Carlisle and Copeland as its three district council areas. For a Kendal enquiry, check the address with the council rather than applying Cumberland guidance automatically. Confirm whether Cumberland or Westmorland and Furness handles your address. Keep this council check separate from arranging decluttering support or confirming our availability.

02

Keep valued belongings out of the collection route

For cluttered house cleaning, describe the actual route between rooms and the exit; we do not assume a particular Cumbria property layout. If stairs, shared entrances or restricted parking affect access, explain those constraints when enquiring. Set aside documents, photographs and furniture being retained. Cumberland's collection terms exclude indoor collection and furniture dismantling. Plan discreet cleaning without leaving retained possessions mixed into a collection area.

03

Separate bulky items from bagged waste

A hoarding clean-up can produce different waste streams; one furniture booking is not a route for everything. Cumberland's bulky waste guidance excludes bags of waste and commercial waste, and currently suspends fridge and freezer collections. Check the live guidance before booking. For hoarder house clearance, removals must be assessed and booked separately; distinguish what stays, what needs an authorised carrier and what your household may arrange directly.

04

Match recycling plans to household responsibilities

Do not build intensive cleaning plans around taking everything to a household site. Cumberland's Allerdale disposal advice says household recycling centres are for domestic waste, not business waste. Its recycling page also specifies permits for large vehicles and pedestrians carrying waste. Check the relevant site's rules yourself. Thorough cleaning and optional home reorganisation can then focus on usable space, without treating household facilities as a commercial disposal route.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Kendal reference confirm council coverage?

No. Kendal appears in our existing deep cleaning service information, but that does not establish council boundaries or hoarder cleaning availability. Ask us about your address and check council responsibility before arranging household collections.

Can unwanted furniture stay indoors for collection?

Under Cumberland's bulky collection terms, crews do not collect from inside properties, gardens, garages or sheds. Agree a permitted collection point with the council, and assess how furniture can reach it without obstructing access.

Can I add extra items to the booked pile?

Do not assume additional belongings will be taken. Cumberland's booking guidance says only listed items are collected. Keep your agreed disposal list separate from possessions awaiting a decision, especially during room-by-room sorting.

What if managing my bins is difficult?

You can ask Cumberland about assisted collections through its waste service guidance. Check whether support applies to your circumstances and address; practical cleaning help does not establish entitlement or replace the council's assessment.

Can excess clutter go beside the usual bin?

For routine collections, Cumberland's bin guidance says not to overload containers or place extra waste beside them. Plan an appropriate route for surplus material rather than relying on ordinary collections to absorb it.

What should I check with a private collector?

Ask about authorisation and documentation before agreeing removals. Cumberland's disposal advice recommends checking the carrier's permit and obtaining a waste transfer note. Keep those checks distinct from booking household cleaning or deciding what to retain.
